Love this induction cooktop!
Purchased this cooktop while waiting for a new stove installation. It is amazing. It’s adjustable heat levels and ease of use is phenomenal. It’s quiet and easily stored when not needed.

Amazing Device
The Good: Easy to Use - Plug it into any outlet, turn it on and cook. Easy to Clean - Just wipe off the surface. Performance - Incredibly fast heating of food. Can boil water faster than any stove I've ever used before. Portable - If I'm searing a steak and going to smoke out the house, simply take it to the front porch! Efficient - Can reduce the power usage from 1800W to 900W with the push of a button if I want to use a coffee pot or microwave that's on the same circuit. Then when I'm done with that, put again to take the burner back up to 1800W. Surprisingly useful. Cons: Requires that you use the right cookware, if a magnet will stick to the pot, it'll work. Overall: I don't usually write reviews, but this device is so amazing that yea, it deserved one. I'd recommend it and I'd buy it again.

Works very well
I have an old gas stove which the top is starting to cave on. Rather than spending approx. $5000 to replace it, I found these to be the perfect solution.... I live alone & don't do serious cooking so various appliances do the job for me. This set included an additional 3rd burner & is great because I didn't have to do any electrical modifications. It would have been necessary for me to run a 220 line for the 4 burner units. 3 burners is plenty for me so that's a cost savings too. These units are easy to operate, easy to clean. I can use some of my existing stainless steel pots on them, although I purchased a small set of induction cookware just in case. Fits well on any countertop. The portability is great for traveling & makes it nice to save money on eating out all the time. The burners & pot get hot only when an item is cooking but is safer for curious pets than traditional burners. The temperatures are accurate. The unit heats quickly to the desired temperature & cools down quickly when not in use.. Easy to operate & clean. I chose this set because it came with the additional 3rd burner that has its own carrying case..

Great Product
The PIC Gold Induction cook top is as advertised. It boils water so fast that I have had to change how I cook to keep up. It is very easy to clean, it does create hotspots in the center of the pan out to about 3 inches from center (6" diameter), This is mitigated by using tri ply pans with good heat dispersion. which will transfer heat clear to the top edge of the pan or skillet within about 90 seconds. The lower cost pans, including some provided by Nu Wave, have a thin magnetic plate attached to the bottom of the pan and heat dispersion is not as fast or as complete. That isn't the all fault of the PIC but is more the fault of the pans. The cast iron accessories get very hot but still hotter in the center until the heat can disperse. Cooking is so much faster and cleaner that I have not cooked on the stove since I bought the two PICS. A third one would be nice. Also note if you have typical 15 amp circuits or the better 20 amp circuits, you need to use each one on its own circuit. Two will definitely throw the breaker if both are on high power. I found that my Kitchen has 4 circuits, two in the typical locations and one for the microwave and a separate one for the disposal. I plug each unit into a separate circuit and have never thrown a breaker, even with both units on sear, According to the marks on the cook top the diameter of the coils is 8 inches, but the heating pattern when boiling water indicates 6 inches with the rest of the pan - up to 12 inches starting to boil (bubble pattern on bottom) about 1 minute after the inner circle. However a 3 qt pot about 1/2 filled with water reaches a full boil on the surface in less than 1 minute. Again the pans have a big impact on this. The temperature control allows me to make 3QTs of popcorn in less than 2 minutes from the time I put the Crisco in the pan until I empty the popped corn. I don't have to shake the pan, and it has never burned even when left on the burner for 20 seconds after the last kernel pops. I start it grease at 375 degrees and reduce the temp to 350 degrees about 30 seconds later when I put in the popcorn. 90 seconds later its done. I then set the temp to 175 and put in butter, while I wash the lid the butter melts but doesn't burn. I then put the butter on the popcorn and wash the pan. In less than 5 minutes I am back in front of my show with hot popcorn and cleanup done. I love this unit. The only question is how long it will last, but so far no issues.

OK for soup and pasta, not for pan frying
When pan frying with an iron skillet, I noted uneven heating. There is a circular spot in the center that is cooler. Bacon started browning on the edges before the center. This must be a result of the shape of the induction coil. It creates a donut shaped heat zone with a "hole" in the middle. I noted the same uneven heat with a cast iron grill pan. It heats quickly. Very impressive boiling water. If you lower temperature it almost instantly stops boiling. Soup and pasta work great. The noise and uneven heat are not deal breakers for me. One star off. Over all, I am pleased. If you can work around the uneven heat, you will like the quick response to temperature change. The controls are well laid out. 10 degree increments in temperature from 100F to SMOKIN'. Programmable cooking times and temps. Three wattage settings. If you overload a breaker, you can lower the power consumption. It slows down the heating, but not much.

What the BEEP is this BEEP?
Let's be clear: this thing looks great and I assume it works exactly as it should, but if that's the case then sweet mother of mercy I can't stand induction cooking. The incessant beeping! Lift your scrambled eggs off the heat for three seconds -- no exaggeration -- to give them a stir and maybe add a few things and BEEP. A few seconds later and BEEP it turns itself off. Put some beans on a low simmer and 40 minutes later BEEP, it turns itself off because it's convinced that it's overheating (at 155 degrees). I'm downsizing and avoiding new major appliances because they're all overpriced pieces of unreliable garbage, but I assumed that I could use this stovetop to make soups and stews without having the thing turn itself off. You can't just fill up a pot, pick a temp and walk away. You'll come back to a half-cooked pot sitting on a cold and silent stovetop, mocking you as you angrily order Dominos. I haven't tried cooking two things at once. My guess is that neither would get remotely cooked before the aggressive safety features shut the whole thing down. Maybe that is a problem endemic to this brand and not induction cooking in general. I'll never know. But a man's gotta eat so I'm keeping it although I can see a world where I rarely use it or, worse, change the ways I cook things to avoid the inherent pitfalls. If you're a person who really likes to cook, I'd suggest you skip this.

Easy to use, not too large and stores away easily
I use this as a secondary cooking unit alongside my gas range. It is quick and easy to setup and allows for precise heat settings and timers. The size was perfect for my space and when I wasn’t using it, easily stored in a cabinet.
