It's very sturdy and the rosewood color is a pretty burgundy. easy to handle- i got the 5 panel and i can move it easily. the rice paper is actually very strong but still lets the light in. good packaging and transported it easily in a subaru forrester. made sure you get a unit with enough panels since you will need to have the panels angled in and out. very pleased with this purchase!

Review for Oriental Furniture 6 ft. Tall Window Pane Shoji Screen - White - 4 Panels We are on the 4th floor facing west with no tree shade. The curtains on the sliding glass doors to the veranda do not block the sun or glare. I needed something that is easily moved and put in place when needed. I looked at solid screens- too heavy and too hard to maneuver behind chairs to put in place. The shoji screens do not block all of the glare and western sun but do an adequate job. The plus is that I, a very small person, can move these lightweight screens. They seem sturdy enough to stand up the job that I bought them for. The white blends in with the curtains and are an attractive addition. We are pleased with this purchase.

Bought this when we moved our bedroom into the den to try to give the large room a more comfortable, private feel. This works perfectly, one little square has torn but that's due to it being moved around constantly. I put a shoe rack behind it so when we're not home the dogs can't muscle their way into the room or break the screens. I was skeptical due to the price but I am really happy with the results. The hinges are good quality and the panels themselves are pretty good as well, not top of the line but for the price you really couldn't do better. It works well for privacy, light comes through but you can't see through them. If they were just a little bit heavier they'd be perfect but again, value for the money and we expect this set up to be temporary. Very satisfied and if we end up needing another upstairs I will definitely come back for these.

I am glad I went with this simple design over some of the more elaborate screens. It looks very nice and complements any room. I have a toilet at the top of my stairs that is visible from its half wall and I've hated seeing it every time. This screen is perfect for hiding it without the expense of a remodel. And it's lightweight design makes it easy to move. It came fully assembled but I ended up needing 3 of the 4 panels so taking one off was no problem since it was only a few screws. While it stands sturdy on it's own, I wouldn't recommend leaning anything against it. The only reason for 4 stars is that a corner arrived damaged from shipping so it might not be packed as well as you'd like.

We purhased this for an senior's efficiency apartment to use as "wall" between living space and bedroom. Originally were going to build a solid wall but decided on this divider instead so that, depending on situation, we might "enlarge" the living space by moving the wall more into the bedroom when guests visited. Also, if the senior ever has need of a walker, wheelchair, or is in need of medical assist, we won't have to contend with a solid wall limiting space and movement. This panel works quite well for our intended use. Because we bought the larger (8 panel) piece though, it is a little awkward for one person to manage. This not only meets the need but does so in a very pretty way (and certainly cost less than a permanent wall!) So yes, it is beautiful, functional, and practical, all rolled into one! :)

This product arrived in one piece, not damaged, and is pretty sturdy. I used it as a room separator between my living room and dining room while I had guests in town. It provided privacy for those sleeping on the couch and is a great room separator and privacy screen. It does nothing for light or sound but is great for visual privacy. It is well made and decent quality. I felt the price was on the high side but it will last so it is worth the money.

My fiancé and I got this to hide some shelves as our apartment does not have a storage closet. It’s very tall and is exactly what I was looking for. I love that you have the option to choose how many panels you want—most other places offer 4 or 6 panels, but 5 panels were perfect for us. If you’ve never owned one of these before, know that rice paper is meant to be somewhat thin (I feel guilty because I used to poke holes in my grandma’s shoji screens as a kid)—this is just a response to the number of people who complain that it feels like tissue paper. This rice paper feels pretty standard in my opinion, so you’ll want to take that into consideration if you have kids or pets. That being said, it’s beautifully crafted and very easy to lift up and move around. It arrived fully assembled as well and several days earlier than expected. I’m incredibly happy with it!

It's been almost a month and this is beautiful. It's a fairly over priced Shoji 6 pannel here in the states but this was the best deal I got. And ebay was way worse including shipment time. The walnut color is amazing. there were a few dents in the cardboard shipment box, but this was well protected within and had no dents, chips, or cuts. LED lights look amazing behind it. It also covers my background beautifully during video calls. I love everything about this. Will be checking out seller "98 NINE EIGHT LAND" for more products, as they were the ones who fulfilled the order through amazon.
