70% Shade Fabric

Very nice shade cloth that I used for our pergola. We live in the southwest, so shade cloth is a must to have some reprieve from the sun. I will say the color is off, it is more of a red than a terracotta. It still works for me, so I decided to keep it. I used the wood fasteners that are recommended by Coolaroo. The material is also easy to cut and to make it the size you want. The dimensions given are correct, plenty to cover a small pergola. Overall, it offers adequate shade, holds up during high winds with the Coolaroo fasteners, and still looks like new after many rainstorms. I have purchased Coolaroo products before, so I am sure this shade fabric will hold up over time. I have attached a few pictures of the shade cloth on our pergola. You can see that i cut the fabric in half. You can also see that the color of the fabric is red, and not a true terracotta. Overall, I recommend this product based on the value and performance. I checked other distributors and Amazon had the best price for this size. I am happy to have some shade under our pergola!

I purchased the fabric to cover a ledge over our front door that became the favorite hangout for all the neighborhood birds. The meeting mess left behind was unbearable. Now the area is covered AND immediately much cooler in the house. I tried it out on the storm door and side lights and I'm more than impressed. I can see out and nobody can see in even if standing right in front of it. I'm confident that the heat from the morning sun will also be greatly reduced. I was able to sew the material, used double-sided tape and duct tape. I'm so grateful how easy it was to work with it and I'm looking forward to the next installation on the back patio. There are so many applications and the price was terrific too.

i am impressed with this product. No rips, easy to grommet edges for mounting. I have had a piece of this up for a whole year, not one issue with it. Direct sun 6-2pm, all weather, and debris from leaves, etc tend to blow off of it. I use it on my pergola. I purchased a large roll and was going to use it for the sides but decided against it. The edges do tend to curl/roll up after being cut so I put grommets/eyelets in the material and did a double fold. a little PVC glue and the edges are super tight and flat still. I still have more but am hoping it goes the 2-3 years it's rated for.

DH made a dog run that is covered top and sides with this shade fabric. It gets loaded with autumn leaves on top, but they are easily removed with 2 minutes of leaf blower use from inside the run. Squirrels climb the sides and scamper across the top without causing pulls or holes in the fabric. The Coolaroo sides and top roll up for the winter, as the dog run designer believes that heavy snow might bend the Schedule 4 PVC pipe frame. I believe the shade cloth would survive a load of heavy snow just fine, however. We used the special clips made for shade cloth along the edges. These clips hold short bungee cords which are then wrapped around the PVC pipe. During a nasty storm last month - one that put a big tree branch through the roof of the house, knocked over a heavy glass patio table and moved the umbrella out onto the lawn - the Coolaroo-covered dog run remained intact. We are very pleased with the quality and appearance of this outdoor fabric.

July 8, 2016: I needed to make skylight shades for my four big skylights. I made frames using pressure-treated 2x3s and wrapped this fabric around and attached it with shade fabric fasteners. Initially, it made the room significantly darker, but after getting used to it, the room is still well-lit but feels much cooler. Yes, the fabric is see-through, as in you can see stars, clouds, the moon, etc., but the fabric weave is definitely noticeable from the inside of the house. We don't mind. The cut down on the glare and heat is very noticeable, and using the fabric was much cheaper than buying professionally made skylight shades. The fabric is in full sun for much of the day, so we'll see how it lasts exposed to the elements.

Arrived on time. Easy to work with. Provides reasonable sun blocking. Provides limited privacy.

This is a good product. We used it for our balcony since it has rails and you can see into our apartment. We wrapped this around the rails 2x and it definitely has given us a sense of privacy. You can't see as much as before. You'd have to really look inside to see past the product. It's sturdy and long.

I live in Central Florida. I used Coolaroo to protect my orchids in the orchid house AND on our back patio. I couldn't be happier with it's performance. Even though the roof is a UV protective polycarbonate, by itself, the PC was not enough protection for even my Cattleyas who require high amounts of light. I solved the problem with Coolaroo which not only blocks out harmful UV rays but also lowers the temp to some degree in the orchid house. It's wonderful! Goes up easily as well. To be honest, we just stapled it up. I used the color "Sandstone" so you can't even see the staples! It stretched out nice and flat and very much looks like a professional job. Awesome stuff. It's been up for now over a year and has not stretched or sagged. Because it worked so well for that application, I also put it up over a covered patio to block out the sun. It was a patio that no one ever used because of the sun and heat! That's certainly a thing of the past! Now...the patio looks beautiful, stays cooler and no more harsh sun! Put it up the same way. Again, you can barely see the staples. My husband put thin strips of trim that he purchased from Home Depot over the staple lines and it looks awesome! I have some left over so now my husband wants to build a pergola out by the water! It's a fantastic solution to those outdoor living spaces that go unused because of the sun and heat!

Great product, we used a staple gun to fasten the shade cloth to the rafters in the ceiling of our greenhouse and it was enough to cut the heat, it is no longer an oven in there. Product arrived in perfect shape and on time.

We hang this off Our RV Awning to help block afternoon sun. Works great and now we can enjoy the deck without scrambling to find relief from heat. Also great as a privacy screen. Works well when used with Camco party light holders and texton tarp clips. makes putting up and taking down a breeze.

We bought 4 rolls 12x50". Attached it 12 feet up on the sides of our arena. Keeps snow and wind out of the arena. A wonderful addition to our arena which has no sides. Gives us privacy from neighbors and lets light in. Highly recommend this product.
