I produced 30 mugs and aluminum water bottles right out of the box with absolutely no prior experience and they look perfect! The instructions are very simplistic but really...I can't imagine that you would need more than what they include. And that's coming from me, the world's worst at anything electronic. Great product. Ordering a second one soon. Review: Works - It has a few quirks to work out, but all in all works excellent. I have made about 20 mugs with this now and each one has turned out well (except for the ones I messed up myself haha). Use in a well-ventilated area though if you are making a lot in one sitting, the fumes from the sublimation ink or something was giving me a sinus headache. Edit: One year and over 100 mugs later it's still working fine!

Trial and error for applying HTV
I bought this to try the HTV designs on glass mugs...the glitter HTV works better than the regular HTV

Waste of money in the long run
So difficult to use... You'll spend many hours for each set of blanks you have, trying to get the settings just right. It's a huge waste of money on both sides, after you factor in your lost time and blanks. Spend more money and get something much more turn-key instead.

Pretty good for the price
We have a graphics design business where we mainly design and print posters. We wanted to get into printing on mugs and did not want to spend a lot of money on a mug press so we chose this product. The product is small but has some weight to it and it is for the most part manufactured well. The instruction manual is not in depth so we had to do testing with different temps and heating times. The optimal temp we found is 360 degrees with a heating time of 275-300 seconds. Immediately dunk the mug in a tub of cool water once the timer goes off. One thing to remember is this press is designed for printing on 11ounce mugs and not the larger and more popular 15 ounce mugs. We were printing on the 15 ounce mugs and we bent the screw that secures the mug wrap. You need to buy sublimation paper and use a printer that prints with sublimation ink. Mugs come out with vivid colors. We also have printed on metal water bottles with ease.

Great and affordable
***UPDATE*** This press sparked, and died after only a few months of use. I had only done about 100 presses with it when one day while I was making a mug, it made a HUGE spark where the wrap meets the cable, and shut down. My husband opened it up to see if he could fix it, but it is faulty wiring, and completely useless now. The machine won't even turn on. Very disappointed that it did not last long, and could have easily caused a fire. Very happy with this press. I originally had one that was slightly less money, and it never heated evenly. This heats evenly, quickly, and is consistent when pressing mugs.

Works great, just now and then has a few issues.
We get an unexplained constant beeping when the machine gets to the temperature it needs to be at, there is no way to turn off the beep till the mug has pressed for 60 seconds. It didnt always do this. For the price you will get what you pay for, but on day one we made enough mugs on this bad boy to buy a much more heavy duty mug press. A great starter press for someone new to sublimation!
