My LG WM3455HW washer/dryer combo stopped draining the water from washes. I thought this was going to be a several hundred dollar repair bill. I’m glad I purchased this and decided to repair it myself. The entire process took about an hour or so. It’s pretty straightforward if you have instructions for your model washer. Mine was slightly more complicated than the normal LG washers due to having an extra bottom panel. If I had to do it all over again I can probably knock it all in 30 minutes. The only tools required are screwdrivers and a big pair of pliers. The only thing I would recommend is that when you do tackle this repair, MAKE SURE THE WASHER IS FULLY DRAINED!!!! Trying to fix this with water leaking out every you move a part was really annoying, especially if the water has been sitting there for a while and spells putrid! The issue, my washer/dryer stopped draining and would make a whining noise. When I was able to finally take out the old pump, I discovered that the pump motor was fine but it was just the pump propeller that snapped off so that the motor was spinning but it wasn’t connected to anything to push the water. It’s too bad since most other reviews for this part show the same problem. A more sturdy propeller pin would have significantly improved the longevity of this part. The part itself came in an LG box so it was a genuine part. Since pulling this apart was time consuming, I wanted to make sure it wasn’t a cheap third party part. The new motor worked immediately and the sound seems slightly different and quieter.

Getting to the part was an issue because of the space we had to work with. However, it was an easy install otherwise and works perfectly!

It appears identical to the original and fits the same. Too bad that this design seems to last only a few years before the impeller breaks. Note that some reviewers indicate this is a 20 minute job to replace but that is not necessarily so, it depends on what LG machine you own. On some, you can replace it from the bottom by tipping the machine back against the wall to get access. On the LG I own, I had to replace it from the front which requires removing the front panel and is a much bigger job.

So far, so good. It fixed the problem and my washer is spinning and draining.

Comes as described. OEM box and manufactures sticker with build date which was current. Fit perfectly and works perfectly as expected. Don't pay more, this is all you need for a simple DIY repair!
