Long term pain relief, also great for occasional pain
Purchased almost 3 years ago hoping it would give me some relief from the near-constant neck pain I was having following a car accident. I’ve been using it every day, for almost three years, for one ten minute session (laying on back, knees bent and arms outstretched past my head, with the device making contact right where the back of my head and my neck meet). Once in a while I may use it for a second ten minute session if I’ve got a particularly stubborn crick in my neck. You know you’re doing it right when parts of your back and neck pop at random throughout the ten minutes. For me personally, my neck gives one final, satisfying pop once the ten minutes is up and I pull the device out from under my neck. I still have neck pain and have come to accept I always will, but this thing has helped tremendously in the long term, and also gives immediate relief when I’m having a particularly bad neck day. Oh, and it holds up very well, physically, considering how inexpensive it is (photo is of my 3 year old device, which I’ve used for more than 180 hours if you do the math). Great value and definitely recommend for anyone who deals with moderate to severe neck pain or stiffness on a regular basis.

Amazing! Two levels of traction! So easy.
Amazing! I’ve been struggling with shoulder/neck tension and pain for years. I’ve had X-rays and know that there is no skeletal reason for my discomfort. I always feel an uncomfortable pressure or tugging sensation around my cervical spine (I’m sure it’s from posture/screen use). For a long time I’ve used a complicated neck traction device that attaches to my door. I could get some traction but it was super awkward and annoying to use and the head strap really hurt my ears. That sucker is now going to be donated. I finally started seeing a massage therapist to work on my shoulders and neck which is REALLY helping. She suggested I borrow this Restcloud device. I took it for the weekend and immediately bought one. It gives me so much relief. One thing that is not clear at all in the terribly translated booklet that ships with it, is that there are two ways to use this. The most visually obvious direction is the “most traction” direction. If you turn it the other way it’s more mellow and for those who are really tight might be the right starting point. The booklet does sort of try to mention this but it’s not clear and looking at the device you might not intuitively understand that you can use it in both directions. I LOVE the stronger traction side, and that’s all I’ll use, but it’s worth noting for those who might find that side too much at first. When I use this for the recommended 10 minutes I genuinely feel that I stand straighter afterwards. I also don’t have the sore tugging on my cervical spine. I think my neck has been craving this sort of relaxation for years!!

Believe the reviews!
I'm working with the Restcloud at the recommendation of my physical therapist. My symptom is vertigo from PPPD (yeah...you'll have to look that one up!) Anyway, I started slow with 5 minutes which seemed to help me quite a bit. Having read many reviews, I proceeded cautiously and finally moved my time to 7 minutes. OMG! As soon as I stood up I had vertigo worse than ever before, and it's taken 2 days of bed rest and inactivity for it to calm down. The Restcloud is a powerful tool until you push it too far for your own situation. From now on I won't go past my apparent 5-minute max!

Works as designed, good value for price.
No idea why people are saying it’s a “hard piece of plastic.” It’s neither hard nor plastic. It works exactly as described and designed. You lie in it for 10 min at a clip and it provides neck support, relief, stretching. It’s not a miracle worker, but I’ve only used it for 2 days and can tell it’s doing more than the countless neck traction devices I’ve purchased. Lying on the floor face up for 10 minutes at a time is a small price to pay for neck relief, maybe that’s just me though.

Be careful!!
I purchased this device about two months ago to correct my posture, which was contributing to problems with my shoulder. Initially I found it very helpful. It was comfortable to use and I noticed improvement in my posture. However, about a month ago I stayed on it for a longer period of time, probably around 10-15". Since then I have been experiencing an increasing level of vertigo, to the point where I cannot walk without holding onto something or someone. After contacting a family member who is a chiropractor, I learned that this is due to a shift in the crystals in the ear canal and is correctable by using the "Epley maneuver." Hopefully that is the case. She also said that this device should only be used by someone who is receiving regular chiropractic adjustments. FOLLOW UP: I posted the above review on 9/4/23. The following day I was contacted by the seller apologizing for the difficulty I experienced and offering me a full refund. I was quite impressed by the professionalism of the seller in reaching out to me and offering a refund, which I had not even requested. However, I chose not to accept the offer because my problem occurred as the result of not using the product correctly per the instructions. My husband assisted me in performing the Epley Maneuver (we watched a YouTube video) and my vertigo rapidly improved. Once I resume chiropractic treament, I plan to beginning using this product again according to the recommended guidelines, as I was truly beginning to see benefits.

Immediate Pain Relief. Buy one!
After receiving and reading the instructions and the product recommendations, I decided to try the device. I use a firm foam wedge and no pillow for sleeping on my back, which is similar but flatter than a recliner. The goal was to use the device for the recommend 10 minutes. I found it very comfortable and relaxing. So relaxing that I fell asleep. NOT intentionally! After approximately 44 minutes of sleep, I awoke to a numb scalp. Please heed the instruction recommendations and DO NOT use the device for sleeping! After the numbness wore off, immediate pain relief was experienced. Now, after a few hours, the pain level is still much lower. Must try this product.

AMAZING Neck Pain Relief, Less Numbness in Hand
BE PATIENT - IT’S WORTH IT! WORKS!!! I absolutely LOVE this thing. I have cervical bone spurs, and cervical disc bulge at C3-C4, pressing on nerves that run down to my right hand, and incredibly tight neck muscles and traps. During the pandemic lockdown my pain and numbness was the worst. I was working a stressful job and getting little sleep. My right arm was weaker than the left, and my right hand would be numb for 30 minutes after waking up each morning. I was scared. The MRI showed the physical issues above; the doctor recommended a steroid shot and said I may need surgery one day. I put off the steroid shot, figuring I should try physical therapy first. I also completed my contract, got a less stressful job, and started sleeping more. I tried stretched but they were painful, and sometimes seem to make things worse. I don’t think I was doing them right. But when I started using this device, I couldn’t BELIEVE how effective it was. Every time I use this regularly, it’s like I’m buying myself days or weeks of pain relief. AND extra mobility— I can twist to look behind when backing up my car without stabbing pain now. IMPORTANT TIP: when I first got it, it hurt a lot to relax my neck in that position. My neck was so tight it felt like it was made of hot piano wires that were about to explode. No joke. So I would only stretch on the floor with it for 30 seconds, twice a day. Then I gradually increased to a minute, once or twice a day. Another review here helped - it suggested to breathe slow and deep, gentling letting go, let gravity do the work, as you are able to tolerate it. Eventually I would put headphones in, choose one relaxing song that was about three minutes long, and use that as my timer. I’ve been using it for about 6 months now, and my necks so much better that I only need it 1-2x per week now, for about 3 minutes. I’m almost convinced that all I needed was gentle, gradual, decompression, not surgery and steroid shots. Anyway, time will tell. For now, I’m sticking to this routine, and recommend it to anyone with neck and upper back pain. Thank you for making this stretcher!!

Product not for me - Great Customer Support !!!
This product started off feeling okay for the first couple of seconds, but after that it quickly became uncomfortable to wear. Instead of providing relief, it actually starts to hurt the longer it is on, which defeats the whole purpose. I was also a bit misled by ads for similar products online that made it seem like this would provide noticeable neck relief. Unfortunately, that was not the case for me. I barely felt any improvement, and it did not deliver the kind of results I was expecting. Overall, this was a disappointing purchase. It might work differently for others, but in my experience it was uncomfortable and did not provide much benefit. Edit: Seller reached out post me writing this review and sent me proper instructions on how to use the product, as well as a full refund without having to return anything! I have followed the steps they gave and while yes it did help a bit, I still found the product not to be for me. I will attach exactly what they said on how to use it incase anyone else feels as if they may be using the product wrong: 1. Find a quiet place where you can lay down or sit back for about 10 minutes. This can be on a bed, sofa, floor or recliner. 2. Locate the neck support of the device around the middle of your neck. Start with gentle traction ( convex side toward your head).. Gently reposition on the device, up or down along your spine to locate the most comfortable position for your neck. 3. Bent your knees, put your hand beside your head. 4. Once comfortable, allow your neck to settle further into the support. Taking slow deep breaths helps to relax. 5. If lying on your back, your eyes should be looking straight up towards the ceiling. If reclining, your head should be in the same position relative to your back. 6. Once comfortable, allow your neck to settle further into the support. Taking slow deep breaths helps to relax. 7. Take notice of how the support is reinforcing your posture. You may observe at this point that you are releasing tension. 8. You may notice your neck, traps and shoulder muscles relax further and your posture become more aligned. 9. Like any new exercise, start off slowly, Use the gentle support level for 5 minutes then reassess whether or not you can use it for an additional 5 minutes. Progress gradually as you are comfortable. 10. If you feel you can use more neck support, use the strong traction side ( concave side toward your head). 11. NOTE: At first, you may feel slight discomfort as your muscles and joints adjust to their new positions. If you feel pain, discontinue using device and consult with your healthcare professional. They also suggested a more gentle and softer version of this pillow, maybe its worth looking into!

Good quality neck support
I gave this a go as I had been struggling with neck and upper back pain. At first it feels very large on the back of your neck but stick with it, once you fully relax your head, neck and shoulders it feels so good. Too good in fact. The instructions state that it should be used for around 10-15 minutes then removed, but honestly I almost fell asleep. I found it more comfortable than my pillow. I would sleep on this but the warnings say not to. Regardless, it's great for stretching out your neck and provides much needed relief.
