Propylene Glycol?!!! They do not all contain this …
I would love to give this 5 stars as it tastes amazing. I bought a huge 32ounce glass bottle I loved it so much . I came back to buy it again. Until I realized as I read the item description here that this contains PROPELYNE GLYCOL ???!!! I am so disappointed and confused as to why it says “ PURE EXTRACT” Rum. I was using this daily in my coffee and in my homemade coconut milk . Homemade pudding ,Ice cream for the ninja creami . I have pre existing serious health issues and do not need any more problems .am beside myself that I somehow missed this . I eat a very limited specific diet and as a result take no medications despite having late stage Lyme disease and multiple co infections and severeal autoimmune diseases. These extracts gave me so much joy everyday and helped me enjoy the highly restrictive way of eating I must adhere to in order to function at a sub optimal level. So I began doing research to find another brand not containing propolyne glycol . Oddly , in my search Cooks pure rum extract pops up . I think I will just stick to pure vanilla extract for now as I already have tried many other brands before discovering Cooks and except for the vanilla, none compared and I’m exhausted for now as well as it is expensive to take such chances as this items are non returnable . Now I just realized the huge bottle of coffee extract I recently purchased , for coffee ice cream also has Propolyne glycol as the description states clearly on the amazon website page . I am disappointed and cannot believe how I could have overlooked this . As I write this my small 4 fl ounce bottle of rum extract does not say it contains propylene glycol. As well as the32 fl ounce bottle does not say it contains propylene glycol. Yet the item description here on this amazon page says propylene glycol. The photos i included were from the pure rum extract and the coffee extract I have purchased this year . Hopefully this is a misunderstanding . I came here to purchase another 32 fl ounce bottle of the rum extract. I will wait for now . Surely this is an error of some kind ,hopefully. I would love some clarification, feedback from COOKS. As I was a very happy ,loyal customer and am Loved the little bit of joy this sprinkled on my day. UPDATE: So I went on Cooks official website. I contacted and spoke w/ a very helpful representative. The flavors :Almond,Vanilla ( except alcohol free ),Coffee,Banana,Coconut,Chocolate, and Maple Do not contain propylene Glycol. I was told the amount of propylene glycol used in the other products is so minute like a table spoon per a gallon , I don’t remember the specific amount to be exact. They also said they have no control of what goes on at amazon. That the only seller they deal with directly is MAJOR GOODS . I am overjoyed to have gotten to the bottom of this . Also some of the items are less on their website than amazon . Cooks offers free shipping. ✨🙏🏼✨

Now, THIS is more like it!!!😋 I CAN ACTUALLY TASTE THE CINNAMON FLAVOR!:This brand is made STRONG, like when I was young! I'm at the threshold of 70 now, but I am the youngest of 11 siblings and my mother had me in the kitchen with her BEFORE I STARTED SCHOOL!!! THIS is the taste I remember from back then. THIS IS A RARE FIND that has brought back those memories and I'm here CRYING now! 🥹🤯

Good Product!! WARNING: This is Maple Extract, not magic maple flavor
SUMMARY: If you use this product just as you would vanilla, almond, or other extracts, I believe you will be satisfied. If you have little or no experience with extracts, you may find it objectionable. If you want to know what *I think*, please read on... Caveat: All of these comments are JUST MY OPINIONS!!! To me, this tastes about the same as an Olive Nation product I picked up from Amazon last month. Best if used as intended; to bring out the so-called elusive maple flavor when using pure maple syrup and/or pure maple sugar in certain recipes. But this is alcohol-based maple extract; it will not taste right, it will not pour into a spoon easy. it will not magically make maple flavored stuff without proper use, techniques, and preparation. Just like vanilla extract will not make everything taste like vanilla ice cream, this extract will not make everything taste like maple syrup; you need to use a little elbow-grease, so-to-speak. I saw a lot of comments about "making" maple syrup with maple extract. You attempt this, your mileage may vary; there is no substitute for real boiled-down maple syrup from a New England sugar house in February or March. I used this extract with both pure maple sugar and/or syrup to make "maple cheerios", maple oatmeal, and maple bacon because no responsible amount of maple sugar I have ever used in these and other recipes, has ever "been enough" for me to taste much. The extract worked very well (I also used a little salt).

Excellent rum flavoring for baking
Large bottle. Strong and "rummy". Smells delicious. I use this for baking as a substitute for rum and cannot tell the difference. I do not recommend for ice cream or pudding....as it doesn't taste like good strong rum in these desserts. Easy to open and close cap, for people who struggle with such things.

Excellent!
This review is for the CINNAMON product, because for some reason reviews are scattered through here for every other extract produced by Cook's. Excellent cinnamon flavor - actually tastes like cinnamon (versus he numerous Ceylon cinnamon "supplements," which essentially taste like sweetened water, with no flavor or smell). Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) also contains much less coumarin than Casia cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia), so is safer for those with a compromised liver or those taking statin drugs. With either variety, a little goes a long way so moderation is the key. Recommended.

Excellent In Mocha or Hot Chocolate
I really like this extract. It’s really good in my mocha coffee. I haven’t baked with it yet but I think it would be excellent in anything with chocolate just to elevate the depth. I think it would probably be amazing in a hot chocolate as well The best homemade mocha: Coffee 1/2 & 1/2 1 scoop Ancestral Nutrition chocolate collagen powder A small splash of Cooks chocolate extract (small…it’s pretty potent) A pinch of sea salt Sweetener of choice—I use stevia Use a frother and enjoy. This has been my go to this season vs my usual pumpkin spiced latte…..and I’m not even a chocolate person. It’s that good.

Enough extract to make a couple of gallons of craft root beer!

Tastes great. However, due to horrible packaging, most of the bottles leaked during transit. I like the product, but I would never purchase from this seller again.
