The Missing Golden Ticket and Other Splendiferous Secrets

Learned lots of secrets about the author Roald Dahl. A student and I had just finished one of his books. We loved learning all the secrets to the writing of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the left out chapter. We even tried one of Willy Wonka's recipes .

I would first recommend to read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Matilda before reading this book and it was an easy read!

This is not a typical study with a plot . I read Interesting facts about Dahl . This is still a interesting read .

Loved the book. Was in great shape. I read it before I put it in my classroom for my students.

Honestly, I did not like this book.. my son thought it was “ok.” He is 7. We’ve read MANY Roald Dahl books and I think to care about this book at all you would need to have read many of them. It is mainly about the author and the creation of a specific book.. other random facts thrown in. I just didn’t care for it honestly and wish I had checked the library before purchasing. I would rather have spent the money on a different Roald Dahl book we don’t have than this.

Great reading get to know the author on a personal level a lovely man whose stories last and bring joy to children everwhere

They are Christmas gifts for my grandson, so I won't know until afterward. However, he has several other books by this author and loves them.

I am a fan of Dahl's and generally read his adult themed books. I got this one sort of on a whim plus it was low priced. I enjoyed reading it and it was more full of tidbits about the history of his writing of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. From the characters he started with and the ones that he discarded. Also tidbits about the writer himself.
