SSL 48 Element Tri Boom Very High Gain Freeview HD TV Aerial 4G & 5G, Easy Setup

The aerial is easy to set up with understandable instructions. The package the aerial is delivered in is deceptively small; the assembled aerial is deceptively large! My aerial is for a shed and as such the transmitter signal is blocked by nearby housing, thus it's not a fair test of the aerial but the aerial does provide a decent reception for UK Freeview TV. I don't receive all the Freeview stations all the time, but only a handful of stations are lost for other times. The aerial serves as a good backup when the wifi signal is not good for the shed. I hear the Freeview signal will be turned off in the UK in the 2030's anyway, so enjoy while it lasts!

Good strong boom will not be damaged by a storm as is quite sturdy. Receive a good picture and now have a good reception. It doubles as a rookery and is quite impressive compared to the flimsy aerials on other chimneys. The connection to the lead is quite good and is waterproof. My last aerial connection was filled with water.

Received with minor damage. No damage to box, so quality control issue. Was able to straighten so not necessary to return. Now mounted outside and working as required. Pulls in all the channels with good quality picture and sound

Great aerial, partly assembled which made the written instructions more difficult but all in all it took 20min to assemble and about the same to mount it outside. Plugged it in to my tv that I previously got 20 or so channels with a booster, hit retune, without the booster and BOOM!! 201 yes 201 channels!! I didn’t bother with the booster!! Fantastic signal strength on every channel I’ve checked. Like I said Great aerial.

Very good reception

My old high gain television aerial had been damaged by overweight pigeons, (the horizontal bars had been snapped off as were fixed with plastic fittings.) This aerial is much more compact and sturdy. Folds into position, all you have to do is fit a few wing bolts. Dead simple. The F type fitting fitted my existing cable perfectly, but make sure you put the plastic waterproof cone on the cable before cutting the cable to fit the connector or you will not get it on, it is a very snug fit. Easy to fit to pole, lined up aerial direction by compass bearing to transmitter 25 miles away. re-tuned TV and got excellent reception.

Bought this to replace an old aerial in the loft of my rental house that was struggling to receive signal and breaking up. TV was showing anything between 18% and 27% strength. Bought this one as it said it was high gain and looked compact. Installed, connected it up and aligned and the most I could get the TV to was 34% strength. Clamped it tight. Signal is acceptable but not as good as I thought it would be from the description.
