PYREX Heavy Duty Griffin 1003 400mL Beaker Double Scale Graduated; Each

This is an ideal beaker for making coffee with an original Aeropress (but not XL). I tend to heat milk in a mug and froth it, so plunging the Aeropress into the same mug doesn’t work well. I’ve been using this daily and it honestly couldn’t be better. Its thick walls make it sturdy enough that pressing down on the plunger causes me no concern. The aeropress fits in the opening perfectly, the spout pours very well, and it cleans up easily!

This is a thick, excellent quality beaker. Measurements are clear and accurate, pours well. Don't use cheap plastic, use glass instead.

Came to me quickly and in perfect condition. It was wrapped in bubble wrap and in a box inside of a box. The glass is sturdy. A little thicker than I’m used to but overall functions as it should.

This Griffin beaker is just what I expected. Heavy duty and legitimate! Strong heavy glass that performs in a personal or laboratory situation.

The 1003 (400ml) is made of thick glass and it's the perfect size to press the Aeropress with confidence. It feels very nice to sip from it. Highly recommend. This is the second one I buy after the first one cracked in the bottom because I dropped a heavy ice cube on it. I had done it hundreds of times before but it hitted differently. Now I drop ice cubes at an angle to avoid.

Seems like it will be a great plastic-free alternative for my immersion blender for smaller quantities. The glass is thick and feels durable. Went through the dishwasher well. Fits my immersion blender blade.

I put mine inside my microwave with water, when I only have small amounts of food to heat up.

After a lot of struggles trying to find heavy duty Pyrex beakers in the sizes I needed, I finally succeeded. This one was listed as a 400 ml, however the measurement markings only go up to 325 ml. So be aware of ordering a slightly larger size if the full 400 ml measurement markings are important to you. I was happy to find that these beakers were made in Germany, which another reviewer had stated makes the very best quality Pyrex beakers. Not sure if this is true, but if it is, "Made in Germany" is printed right under the word Pyrex on the side of the beaker. It is a thrill to use this beaker and not need to worry about it breaking easily like some inexpensive, paper-thin types.

So cute. I love it. It took forever to receive but it is worth the wait.
