Works just like a hot glue gun! Way better than the older ones I’ve used in the past where you had to hold the solder against the gun tip. It has its own on and off switch to start the heat, the solder is attached right on to the back of the gun and feeds through when you pull the trigger. Makes it so much easier to make precise lines, and gives you a free hand back to work with for turning or adjusting the object you’re working on. Great for crafts, which is what I’ll be using it for. Looks exactly as pictured and the seller had it to me promptly. Arrived with no damage and was super easy to operate/get started with.

Got a bad one the first time. Seller sent replacement no hassle. This unit works great. Gets up to temperature fast and melts even 70/30 lead/tin solder fast (lead melts at 622° F). No cold solders. Solder heats up fast and flows nicely. 60/40 tin/lead melts even faster (tin melts at 450° F). Pistol grip is easy to handle. Nice buy for the money.

Works good but I wish it would heat up faster and was a little hotter. It's a cool idea and it free's up a hand but I wonder about the durability of the product but time will tell.

For years I have had repair projects to repair electrical connections that needed to have an extra hand to complete. This time I had a 9 volt battery connection that broke. I had too much trouble reaching into the small compartment to solder. Saw this tool on Amazon, looked good so I ordered it. Received as promised. Tool feels like quality, heated up fine and I was able to repair quicker than expected. I highly recommend to all.

It never gets hot enough to do anything remotely close to "soldering". Too bad too because ergonomically this thing feels great. Feeds the crap wire it comes with and some super-thin wire I had just fine. Just never gets hot enough to be useful. 15 watts...should have paid attention to that! A return label is printing while I type this...save yourself the paper and tape by not ordering this one! UPDATE... Seller offered a replacement and the new one gets hot enough to function but I wouldn't see this as a replacement for a proper iron for most work. If you had to tin a lot of wire or something like that then this would probably be great. No way this is up to detailed board work though...its just not that precice.

It's an easy product to use and heats rather quickly. I wish it had a kick stand or other means to set upright during use.

Use this a few times it works extremely well no temperature control and the wire spool must be manually advanced to get the trigger to spool the solder. It’s heats up fast and heat transfer is excellent

It does not work as it's advertised ! It doesn't get hot enough to even melt the solder that comes with it. I tried it for the first time today and I was very sorry that I bought it,-It's completely useless ! Maybe there are some which work but the one I got is a piece of junk. buy at your own risk!!!!!!!
