Perfect Mouse for the Everyday Worker and Gamer
I read some reviews on Amazon before I initially purchased the mouse. I actually purchased the mouse from a computer store near me first to give it a shot. Then I returned it for the cheaper price here on Amazon after I discovered how great this mouse is after 2 days of use! Reviews seem to conclude that the mouse is of sturdy and durable build quality, but that judgment came down to the features. If you enjoy the features, this is a solid mouse to purchase.I wholeheartedly love this mouse!I love Logitech, but I didn't want to spend a ton on just a mouse, so I didn't leap at the gaming mice. This mouse is laser, so it has the accuracy of a gaming mouse without the price tag. I wanted a 5 button mouse with a clicky scroll wheel that was comfortable and easy to use. I've had trouble with the distance between my thumb and the two side buttons on other mice. This one was a bit farther forward than my previous mouse, but it only took a day for my hand to move a little farther up the mouse (I used to hold it farther back than the normal mouse hand position). Now, it's a breeze! The buttons have a good click sound: it might be a little louder than other mice, but that is not a problem for me. The buttons are easy to press and hold, but they aren't so sensitive as to promote accidental presses. The scroll wheel was an interesting treat. I was afraid it would be like the G9 with just a frictionless wheel. The problem I've had with those is when I middle click, the wheel would spin when I didn't want it to and much faster than I desired (this can be fatal in a video game). I wanted control of my scrolling. This mouse offers the option of a clicky wheel or a frictionless one, so I can pinpoint my scrolling or swipe up from the bottom to the top of the page with a simple click of the on/off button for the feature right behind the wheel. The wheel also clicks laterally, too, so I can easily adjust page width on my screen. The mouse is lightweight, comfortable, and a strong addition to my peripheral lineup. I have no complaints!

One of the best mouse I've ever used!
I'm giving this mouse a 5 star, not becuase its perfect, but because its a great value! I was using the Logitech Mx-510 for more than 2 years, and that was a great mouse. Recently needed a new mouse, and purchased this one.Pros:- I am just loving the free mode of the scroll wheel. Its really great. I didn't find this great until I went back to my older mouse. Its true what they say, once you use it, you can never go back.- Its really ergonomic. The shape is a little larger than what I would liked, but it fits my right hand perfectly- All the buttons are customizable and works / feels really great- The pointer is extremely precise. You'll notice that even more, if you're coming from an optical mouse or you work with software like photoshop a lot. Both are true for me.- The smooth scrolling on websites feels great! Its a software touch from Logitech though.Cons:- You cannot zoom using "Ctrl + Scrool Wheel" in the free wheel mode. I used to use that a lot, but now I have to go back to normal scrolling mode just to zoom. Its one click away though.- Pressing the middle button requires a lot of force. I actually can't use that at all. I reconfigured that buttons in another one.- A little larger maybe, but I don't feel it after using less than 30 minutes.Despite these cons, this is a great mouse, probably the best corded mouse you can find on the market. I was a little confused between this mouse and the Performance Mouse MX. The later one was more expensive at $70, but I really hate the wireless thing and particularly for the MX, where you have to charge it the every other day. Cord just works fine for me, and without any charging/battery changing hassle. I am using the mouse for 1 week now, hope my experiences so far helps you decide.

A good quality mouse that works well with my Mac Mini
After trying three cordless mice with no success, I gave up and ordered this corded this model for my Mac Mini. It's a desktop computer, so the cord is really no bother. After downloading the Logitech driver software, I found that it works very well with the Mini, with one minor exception. The contours of this mouse fit my hand nicely, and my thumb falls just right on the side buttons. I really appreciate these "page back/page" forward buttons when Web surfing. This mouse tracks my movements smoothly, and the cursor does not skip around the screen suddenly (my problem with three wireless mice). All of the switches have a precise feel and provide good tactile feedback when clicks have been made. A button on top sets the scroll wheel for either smooth or "clicky" operation. The scroll wheel also has a vertical click (you put your finger tip on top and push it straight down). I have it set to bring up Mission Control, and it's a fast, convenient way to switch between active programs. The scroll wheel also has switches that are activated by pushing it toward the side. I had it set to scroll the screen from side to side. However, these switches are too sensitive and randomly sent me scrolling off the side of Excel spreadsheets and other documents. I turned this feature off, and reduced my rating by one star.
