Are the eep-100 good for shooting

Very good, I use them all the time for Clays and pistol. Last several hours.

What’s the overall lifespan of the battery?

The lifespan is dependent upon usage, but the battery is rated to have 80% of the original capacity after 500 recharging cycles. When new, a single charge provides up to 16 hours of continuous operation. Thank you for considering 3M products.

I work in a room with loud ambient noise but I still want to hear conversation, would these work?

The EEP-100 earplugs would not improve your ability to understand speech in a continuous high noise environment as all sounds are being compressed to 82dB and the noise would mask the speech. However, the EEP-100 earplugs excel when the noise is intermittent, as they help provide protection when the noise level is high but allow you to hear like normal when the noise level is low. Are they osha approved?

The 3M Peltor EEP-100 Electronic Earplug are tested for Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) in accordance with ANSI S3.19-1974. The NRR must be shown on all hearing protector packaging and is specified by OSHA to estimate the adequacy of the hearing protector attenuation as per 29 CFR 1910.94 Appendix B requirements.
