PURPLE RAIN (DVD)

I have been a fan of this man since at least 1984, this in fact was the movie and soundtrack that made me fall in love with everything he did from that point on. I am heart broken we lost him and I am grateful to have this gem back in my collection. It's been in my DVD player since it arrived in my mail box, this is why I have no photos. I highly recommend this for anyone who is a fan or for those who are introducing future fans. The soundtrack is brilliant and the script is awesome. Overall, I am super pleased, the movie is great entertainment, the disk is perfect and scratch free, and the cover is in awesome shape too. I have nothing genitive to say at this time.

Great and Amazing Movie.

This is Prince's signature movie, I'm a fan of all 3 of his mooveez but I have to b honest with myself and admit this is tha 1. I must have seen Purple Rain at least 30 times and I can recite every line. There's something about the energy of this film that just captivates u. I love the score and it's no wonder it won Prince an OSCAR. Woohoo! Purple Rain is is genious and the music is timeless. It's hard to believe there is actually a sequel "Graffiti Bridge", but who really knows that and who kares, right? Eye do! They r both great mooveez, Prince can of course do no wrong, he is tha best artist that ever lived. I have recently been in a Prince funk and watched all of his films over the last week, watching all of them at least 2 times each and they never get old, I can watch them a hundred more times. Thank u Prince for making wonderful entertainment 4 all of us 2 enjoy, u r "Tha King", Elvis ain't got s@#$ on u!

Purple Rain is a cult classic and is the best Prince movie. It never gets old and still moves and resonats after all of these years. The acting was so good that you really believed that this was Prince's biography. Althought it was loosely based on his life, fact or fiction, Purple Rain will always be one of the greatest rock movies ever made. The wardrobe, the cinematography, the music, and the Minneapolis backdrop and culture of that time all created the perfect purple storm of musical genius. Rest in Power Beautiful One!

I stood in line to see this at the theater when it first came out. So cool. The soundtrack is ridiculously gripping and the movie well acted, produced and directed. I give this to people as a gift now and then. People that are late teens, early twenties - they're unsure but watch it and are convinced it's fantastic just like I said!!!!

This my all time favorite movie!! Being a Prince fan since the late 80s I watched this movie. I loved it because it was said that this movie was based on events that went on in his life and it was amazing to see him in his acting debut. Never get tired of this movie. I had to purchase this again because a so called friend borrowed the movie but never returned it to me. No one will ever borrow this copy. Prince's untimely death has not only affected me but the whole world. He is sorely missed.

Prince was an irreplaceable entertainer full of life, energy and unbelievable sexy talent on stage.It was so exciting to watch him perform. His seemingly endless amount of energy and talent bring this movie to life. An emotional move about the beginning of a musicians career which grows when he is able to deal with his demons and find peace in his life. Princes spectacular and unique talents that changed the music world came to life in this movie. Acting not so great but that's okay.

The movie is good with singer/songwriter Prince as 'The Kid', a talented young man who is destined to becoming a famous singer. He lives at home with his parents, his father, played by actor Clarence Williams III, is a musician in his own right who is physically abusive toward his wife and son. The Kid dates Apollonia who is physically abusive toward her, Wendy and Lisa became frustrated with The Kid when he wouldn't perform the song the ladies had written and in the end The Kid performs the song. He and his band The Revolution became a success. The acting is not the greatest but the songs are the best in the movie! Prince won an 'Oscar' for his songs and he truly deserved it. The musicians were good vocally and I liked them very much. REST IN POWER to singer/songwriter Mr. Prince Rogers Nelson (June 7, 1958-April 21, 2016): 'You may be gone but you will never, ever be, forgotten.'

Wir hatten uns sehr auf die DVD gefreut - auch nach 3 Wochen Versandlaufzeit!!!!!! Und dann funktioniert das Ding nicht, weil falscher Ländercode! Hallo ??? Eine Empfehlung kann ich nicht geben!

Birthday present

El DVD llego en excelentes condiciones y es un producto nuevo. Debes de tomar en cuenta que el idioma es únicamente ingles y los subtítulos estan en ingles, frances y español y la región del DVD No es compatible con el país de MÉXICO (es decir, No es región 4) Pero aunque no funciona en mi DVD player, si funciona en el DVD-ROM de mi computadora, y otra cosa que debes tomar en cuenta es que el formato de pantalla es 4:3 y NO 16:9. En mi caso el producto me satisface aun con esas características técnicas ya que me trae bonitos recuerdos esta película que vi en el cine en 1984 donde sale Prince y Apolonia.
