Soft and good quality for the price. They do run a tad small so maybe order 1 or 2” up on waist size. Once I got them exchanged for a larger size, they fit well and are comfortable.

These shorts are dangerously confident for something that technically counts as “Amazon Essentials.” The 4 inch inseam brings serious retro athletic energy. The cut shows off your thighs in the most masculine, “I might casually win a beach sprint race” kind of way. The slim fit looks clean and modern while still feeling relaxed enough to wear all day. They are also incredibly comfortable. The fabric is soft, lightweight, and moves easily whether you are walking around town, grilling, or pretending you totally meant to buy shorts this bold. Now, a small warning. If you have dramatic tan lines, prepare yourself. The first time you wear these, your friends will absolutely notice the sudden appearance of upper thigh that hasn’t seen sunlight since the previous presidential administration. There will be jokes. There will be pointing. But here is the thing. While they are laughing at the tan lines, they will also be noticing the rest of the view. The cut on these shorts does a great job highlighting your shape, especially from behind. Let’s just say these shorts are not shy about making your legs and backside look good. Comfortable, flattering, and packed with retro confidence. These shorts basically say, “Yes, I skipped leg day zero times this year.”

Bought for my husband, his comments: Very nice and fit perfectly, look good, except they suffer from this season's weird "flared leg" style. Most shorts this year (2025) have an almost a bell bottom look, and this is no different, meaning it feels like you're wearing less than you actually are. Because the inseam is so short it's not really visible, but definitely feels like you're swinging a bit more in the wind than usual. Fine for the price but I can't wait until the style becomes fitted again.

Mrs. Al here. My husband desperately needed new clothes but that can definitely add up. We lost a lot of weight over the last two years and were already putting off buying more while budgeting for my health issues/treatment and moving, but we cannot wait any longer unless we want to start a new style of broken down, oversized fashion. We've had good luck with the Amazon clothing products in the past and I decided to give a little look here while otherwise doing our futile search for toilet paper, see if at least one thing on the needed list could be found. Never found the TP but found a lot of great clothing deals, including on this particular pair of shorts for my husband in this particular color and size. Decided to order and it came earlier than expected on top of being a perfect fit for him and his gorgeous legs! Have them in the washing machine right now as I type this so he can actually wear them later today. (You can wear shorts during remote video conference meetings if you don't stand up, right?) The color was great, too, and he said they seemed pretty comfortable. Otherwise, obviously he has yet to wear them for a long period of time so I should perhaps update this once he does, but given how well the other Goodthreads pants he has are holding up I can only imagine they will be fine. (Didn't get a photo of him in them yet, though, sorry!) Definitely a great deal for the price, but even full price i think they'd have been an alright deal as well.

These are great for hiking or dressing up a casual summer Tshirt. They’re comfortable, attractive length and cut, and good quality!

I loved these right out of the package. They are exactly the length I was looking for, the material is nice, and can definitely be dressed up or down depending on what you wear them with. The problems came after I decided to keep them and threw them in the washer. The first thing I noticed was that the bottom hem was very wrinkled on both pairs. It’s not a huge issue as it’s something that can be ironed out but it might be a pain to have to do every time you wash them. The second issue is that the waist on both pairs have loosed up on both pairs. One pair is only slightly looser than when I tried them on and the other pair is maybe an inch or two larger now. It’s definitely noticeable. They fit fine otherwise but the waist is definitely just too big now which is a shame because I did really like these shorts.

Comfortable and a great fit; true to size. First pair was damaged, but the return was made super easy and the replacement was here in just 2 days.

So far they are exactly what I was looking for. I am 5'7 and these shorts fit great. I ordered the 5 in inseam. Seem to be pretty good quality for the price. I will be ordering more of these.
