I would use the yellow next time from memory it was half the price, and will do the same job..

This does detect very small leaks. It is used for eliminating possible causes. My pool has 2 lights, 2 skimmers, 3 jets, one suction line and a drain. This product eliminated all but one. Clear pull of die into the suction line. Helped me identify a passing valve and a leaking skimmer pipe.

Works well. I saw some reviews saying it disperses too much, but that wasn't my experience at all. In fact I found that you can create a very intact thin 'worm' of dye if you dispense it in a very gentle way, moving the tip of the dispenser slowly back through the water as you go. But you don't actually need to do that - even just a little squirt that spread out a bit was enough to show that water was clearly moving towards one of my pool inlets, strongly indicating the likely source of my leak.
