Do these work with crepe rubber soles?

They work if the rubber soles on the shoes can hold the small tacks

The nails wear down. Does anbody know if Shoe Goo holds these metal plates in place, better than nails?

if the plates are installed correctly they shouldn't wear down

Would you think these would be good on kids shoes or boots,you know how kids wear their heels off whatever they wear?

These metal heel protector are meant for rough surfaces, like dirt, rock, concrete floor floors, ect... there is a chance that the kids could slip on smooth surfaces and fall, get the protector caught on a rug surface and trip over.
