My elderly mom who has copd and renaud's syndrome has a hard time getting a reading.  is this pulse oximeter sensitive enough?

I have Raynaud’s. I am 60 yr old female recovering from Covid19. 
You will need to warm your hands up. This is true if you were in the best hospital. Run them under warm water and dry them before getting a read. 
Also, this will not work with acrylic nails. You will have to either put your finger in upside down or you can use your toe. Raynauds will make your toes cold too, so heat them up a little bit. Wear socks for a bit and then use the device. I did this both ways and got identical results. It works perfect.

Please bear in mind though that the finger pulse oximeter is not meant to be worn continuously for overnight monitoring. The device may fall off while you are sleeping. For continuous overnight monitoring, you may want to check out pulse oximeters that come with a finger probe and are specially designed for this purpose. I hope you will find this helpful. This worked fine until I had to replace the batteries.  On my unitl it shows in the battery compartment the batteries face the same way.  I put in brand new fresh batteries.  It lights up but shows zero battery life.  I tried the batteries every which way.  Tried several fresh batteries.  The fresh batteries work fine in other devices just NOT this meter.  Very unsatisfied that it only lasted a year.
