Looks nice, wears out fast
My husband bought this for his iPhone. He loved it at first and it does look nice. It's very handy to have your wallet and phone in one spot together. But within three months the case began falling apart. He's had to "superglue" it to keep it together. Considering how spendy it is, we really expected it to be quite durable. I buy the cheap $5 pleather wallet cases and they lasted longer than this one. It was a big bummer and I wouldn't recommend purchasing.

Love it except...
I love it, it works as advertised. I can actually fit 2 credit cards, 1 ID, and 1 insurance card on the back (4 cards total). I don't carry cash hardly ever so this is just what I wanted. I can even fit a crisply folded bill also. Something to keep in mind though, once you go with X amount of cards, you never want to then carry less cards. Since it's leather, it stretches and over time if you carry less cards, the pockets will be too big and cards may fall out.I gave this 4 stars and not 5 because of one thing only that I think the maker/designer could improve on. In order to lock your phone, you have to hit the top-right lock button. But the MAPi Case goes above the button making it hard to press the button down. I think the designer could cut down the leather on that spot and curve it down to allow for a finger-press cutout to make locking the phone easier. Thanks!

My Ideal Wallet Case - Form and Function for the Minimalist
Update: After considerable use, I have two minor annoyances to share. First, the casing is not solid leather. It is a leather shell over rigid plastic. The glue has failed and the leather flaps off the plastic. Some fabric glue fixed this without any issues. Second, the top cutout for the speaker when you hold the phone up to you ear covers the proximity sensor when held upright (due to gravity pulling the phone to the bottom of the case, a vertical movement of maybe 2-3 mm). So, sometimes when you have to pull the phone away from your ear to put a call on speakerphone, or to hang up, the phone's screen doesn't come back on as the proximity sensor is reading the leather strip just above the screen. A simple push of the bottom of the phone up and the proximity sensor pokes up into the cutout, allowing the screen to pop back on. Minor annoyances, still a great case. After looking at maybe 50 different iPhone 5 cases and using 1 other for a month, this MAPI case suits me best. I was looking for a wallet replacement so that I could carry one less thing around. Room for two cards would have been enough, but 3 was highly desirable. The less space the whole case+phone took up the better. And, after my prior Pad & Quill little black book, I wanted something that didn't get in the way of using the phone at a moment's notice (i.e., having to open up a cover to take a picture). This leather skin is thick enough to offer basic protection, but because it's merely a skin, it doesn't add much bulk to the phone. You're not turning your phone into Fort Knox, but it protects against basic scratches and dents. The reverse of the case where the three cards go offer excellent backside coverage and structure once the cards are in. Combined with a clear film screen protector, I am not worried about 95% of incidents that could damage the phone--and that's enough. The case is well thought out, with everything being accessible. All ports and buttons can be used without manipulating the case (except for the SIM card, which shouldn't have to be changed too frequently). The cameras (front and rear) are not obscured by the case and I have not experienced any flash reflections ruining pictures (whereas the Pad and Quill had terrible reflections back into the lens from the glossy wooden case near the rear camera). The card slots work well, although only the front-most card is easily removed (which I use for my credit card). This is okay, as my driver license and other ID are not frequently used, but when you need them you need them! I have no worry about the cards falling out.Support the makers of this case. After doing a lot of research, I feel like other reviewers and publishers missed this little gem.

Not worth the price.
I've had the case for about a month, and it looks like it's two years old. The edges of the case began to wear off very easily. My phone is either in my hand or in my front shirt pocket, yet it looks like it got hit by a sand storm. Even the back of the case showed signs of wear within two weeks. Vey disappointed in the quality of this product.

Great Case, but probably doesn't last very long.
I had to stop using this, unfortunately, but it's a good product. So, my biggest beef with this is that I feel like the leather is too wide after a few months of use. I put a couple of dollars in one of the 3 pockets, and now it's stretched out. I didn't expect that. If I keep a card in that pocket, it falls out into my pocket pretty easily. Basically, this is ONLY for cards. You cannot keep any cash in these, otherwise it stretches out. Further, the front stretched out pretty quickly. I take my phone out at night to charge (which you don't have to do, but I do), and I noticed the leather stretching after just a few uses. Now, I am scared to use this because I'm afraid my phone is going to fall out. I think for someone who is gentler with his or her case, it would be a good product, thought.

Mixed emotions
Great idea. I don't hate it yet but I am disappointed that the leather is already starting to separate after a mere 3 weeks of use. I may be contacting the company considering how expensive it is. It's too bad because it's perfect otherwise. Just know if you buy it you're going to end up having to super glue the layers back together (throughout the entire case).

Great, but one weird design flaw
Have had this case for 11 months now. Only in the last month or so did the leather come unglued from the plastic layer, though it doesn't interfere with how the case works. My biggest single complaint is that the case opens at the bottom, allowing the phone to slide down and out of the case unintentionally.. It's only held in by a loose leather flap. This occasionally covers the proximity sensor making the display go out. It seems like it would have made much more sense for the case to open at the top.The thin sections of leather became stretched out, but otherwise the case is still in good condition and going strong.

Great design/ Poor durability
I have had this case for almost 5 months. I love the design. It holds 6 cards with just a little stretching. The cards do not fall out. My only issue is that after 4 months the synthetic material (actually two pieces bonded together) has started to peel apart.
