Trover Saves the Universe

Virtual Rickality left a bad taste in my mouth. I felt like I paid $30 for a demo game. It almost turned me off to buying this, but I'm glad I did. Trover Saves the Universe is basically R&M except the main characters are aliens instead of people. The humor is what you'd expect if you know the show but I think it's even raunchier. It's a platformer where you play a guy in a chair controlling Trover and you can move things around yourself, too. It's somewhat challenging but you can beat it in 10 hours or so if you're looking to collect all the power babies and listen to a bunch of the dialogue. The story makes this game pretty fun to play. I thought it was hilarious... I don't usually laugh out loud while playing video games but I did with this. If you're messing around characters will ramble on and on, make fun of you, call you the f-word a bunch and so on. There's more to the story than a lot of other PSVR games I've played recently. I probably won't wait too long to play it through again. Definitely worth the starting price. My only complaint is I wish the game was longer. Not as good as Astro Bot, as that game took me a few weeks to play through and the game play was better, but Trover is still a 5 star game to me.

Players can choose what level of "maturity" they want for the game. With that said, I would definitely not recommend this title for the young ones. The graphics and depth of the VR experience are both very good, but what keeps me coming back to play is the dialogue. I cannot overstate the level of strangeness that exists within the cast of characters. Often I found myself laughing hystericallly out loud when interacting with them. If you are wanting to laugh a lot and like having a bit of saucy language mixed into your gameplay dialogue, this game is for you!

If you like Rick and Morty then you will love this game. Trover saves the Universe is super funny and fun to play. I don't have a VR so I was really happy to find this. It made me laugh as well as test my skills when it comes to multitasking between trover and the chairopian

I loved the entire game. Rated r for a reason. Only gripe it was so short and no dlc so it's the end.

Look man I don’t make the rules. Love this game, hope a sequel comes out and I actively enjoyed achievement hunting. The banter and insults are always funny, and, as the title of this review suggests… Playing the game, Trover’s like… Some kind of raging bi-guy with a preference for men. It’s hilariously funny to watch the characters make awkward jokes, and straight up funny ones.

I like Rick & Morty, but this game is nothing but a basic unoriginal action/adventure game with R&M improvisational stuttering voice acting drizzled HEAVILY throughout. It’s mildly funny maybe for like 5 minutes and then it got old REALLY OLD. Nothing original about the gameplay. It’s full of bugs. I’m only on the second world and I’ve encountered half a dozen bugs where subtitles are shown but I cant see/hear the character that’s supposedly talking. Or I triggered multiple dialogues from some NPC (and they all have super annoying voices) so I get multiple audio streams layered together. I don’t know how much the creator got paid for them to stamp the R&M logo on this cover, but this game is not worth your time. It clearly wasn’t worth theirs to put any effort into it.

If you’re a Rick & Marty fan, you’ll appreciate this more. Same voice actors, same humor. It is a fun and funny game but the only negative comment I would say that it’s not too challenging for hardcore gamers. Easy compared to Dark Souls or GTA, but still entertaining.

This is a goofy little game with a lot of humor and profanity, which can be "beeped" out for those who wish. In this game you play a dude who lost his dogs to an evil bird guy, who in turn gets evil powers and must be stopped. You are a part of a race that sits in chairs, and never stands. You are visited by Trover, who has a job to acquire you and transport you places. Sitting in your chair you control Trover and only move via transportation spots. This function was not enjoyable for me, but I'm sure it works great in VR. Besides that, the game is not long but it is fun, so I would recommend when it is cheaper.

Good condition

I got this game for my brother and it came earlier than expected! It was still in the games initial packaging and overall great quality.

A fun game to try in VR. I like Rick & Morty and also the High on Life game made by the same company, so I am enjoying this game even if it's a different type of game compared to the High on Life shooter. Reccomended.
