I started using this book while teaching ESOL students over 12 years ago and never looked back. The fourth edition is by far the best for the international students as it gives a good insight into the modern life in the UK. It is certainly well-structured, colourful and entertaining, which makes it very appealing and easy to follow.

I think the content is harder than the term elementary suggests. However, by creating my own introductions to each element my two students are enjoying the book.

Interesting and up-to-date book
I like the Headway series as they are interesting and this book is great for discussion even at elementary level. Subjects are up-to-date and appropriate for different cultures. My student has improved a lot since starting this book.

Just what I needed to teach individual students!
The books were in very good condition and I was impressed with the new content of the Fourth Edition with up to date topics. I am very pleased with these student books.
