Hair Remover Kit, 1 Count (Package May Vary)

I really couldn't be more pleased with this hair removal product. For a start, my skin is somewhat delicate, so as instructed I tested the cream on my inner elbow initially with no unusual discomfort or redness. Great. I then applied it to the first target area on my face and let it set the full eight minutes using a soft washcloth to massage the cream gently in the direction of my hair growth being a little surprised even the fairly coarse hairs began to vanish right in front of me. I continued using the washcloth until no more product was visible on my face and the cloth appeared clean, and then used a wet one to wipe away any hidden residue from my face to be thorough. Afterwards, both areas where I applied it were smooth while the process left only very minor redness- I suspect friction-related- with no discomfort at all. I did finish up by washing my entire face with water and applying the soothing agent they included in the kit to keep my skin calm. The cream's smell is not at all noxious or overpowering but will not be mistaken for a perfume. The trick is to ensure you wash your face thoroughly after your hair is removed and refresh it with the soothing lotion. This worked wonderfully for me. So, Sally Hansen hair removal cream did the job better than I even hoped, considering I tasked it with removing some thicker hair and gave my skin a pretty good scrubbing in the process. And, still, my face came out unscathed. I think this a fine package deal too, cheaper than other options, and I'll definitely continue using it as needed.

Confused that there are reviews here for both SH wax hair remover and also the “chemical” facial hair remover. Anyway, I have been using the lotion (chemical) remover for well over two years. I do have sensitive skin, and my advice is NEVER to rub it in (even while removing the product), and also to use the “after lotion”, which I apply with a q-tip after rinsing my face gently with cold water. TIPS: I do recommend applying the chemical remover in a THICK layer first with a q-tip, then timing for about 8 minutes and not leaving it on longer than needed. I have used this on my stray brow hairs, occasional chin hairs, light cheek hair, but mostly upper lip as needed. It may not last as long as expensive salon wax, but is more economical and also very effective, even with “stubborn” darker hairs that arrive with early onset menopause. The only times that I have been uncomfortable/had burning have been when the chemical gets “rubbed in”- I recommend removing hair remover with cotton round make up removers in a gentle swipe, followed by a thorough cold water splash, then applying the aftercare lotion with a q-tip and letting it soak in. I highly recommend this product and will continue to buy it. When I use it carefully, I don’t even end up with redness after use. Amazon has a better price (delivered to my door) than most pharmacies. Great product, especially after learning how it best works for you personally. (I prefer wax removal for larger and less sensitive areas like my legs.) This is a tremendous “maintenance” product for very careful/self conscious people like me, especially for hair removal on the upper lip, which needs to be taken care of often if you are a glam girl like me :)

I was always annoyed by my lady facial hair. It made me really self-conscious and dug into my confidence level. I don't think I had a lot to begin with, but I still don't like that I have hair there. I use this product 1-2 times a week and it has really cleared out my upper lip hair. I don't worry about my facial hair as much when people look at me and I am happier for it. Regarding use, this product does not dry out my skin. It is so easy to use and fast! Sometimes it burns afterwards but it comes with an after treatment moisturizer that reduces the redness and burning. ***I highly recommend reading the directions in full as this can save you from unnecessary irritation around other parts of your face. I don't recommend using it before showering or washing your face. It leaves a residue on the area to which it was applied and that residue is oily. Other that that, this product is fantastic. I highly recommend this product.

I may be old school but the Sally Hansen brand has been around forever and I trust their products, and this hair remover is no different. The product description is accurate and it's easy enough to apply. Since I am reviewing this product, it is safe to say I do have some upper lip facial hair (a minute amount) that needs to be taken care of. I do have sensitive skin and this product does not cause me irritation, bumps, or redness. I can't comment on breakouts because I only use on my upper lip. As long as you follow the directions and try a small test area prior to going crazy slathering it all over your face you should be fine. My technique is to wet the area with a cotton ball and then apply the product, apply it really thick but do NOT rub it in - pat it on. The cream is the consistency of shave cream so it will stay on. After 5-6 minutes I take the cotton ball, dripping wet over the sink and pat it off, again no rubbing. You can then apply the lotion but for some reason this aggravates my skin, so I use a small amount of vaseline instead. This may be a little too personal but after years of using this hair remover, I found that applying it the week after your period is much better than the week before. No scientific basis here, just personal observation. Might be fluctuations in hormones which in turn affect skin sensitivity? I only know that my skin was brutalized a few times until I figured this out

No one told me that when I reached retirement age that my facial “peach fuzzy” would grow longer and my upper lip hair would grow in dark. There is nothing worse than peach fuzzy matted under foundation and dark hair poking out above a lip. I grew tired of daily dermaplaning to get rid of my facial hair and decided to give chemical hair removal a try. As a retired person, chemical hair removal is less expensive than going to a spa for hair removal treatments or buying a home laser hair removal device. To my delight Sally Hansen’s cream works to keep my facial hair away for about 5-days. This makes getting ready for the day much easier and faster. Lessons learned/Tips from my early trials with the cream. 1. I have learned that 3-minutes does not work for me to remove the facial hair. 5-minutes is the better time for me. But be very carefully to not leave this solution on too long or you will irritate your skin. You will need to test what time works best for you. 2. I divide my face into 4 sections to ensure I only leave the solution on for 5-minutes before wiping off with a damp facial pad. a. Upper lip including the columella and Nasolabial folds b. Chin including 2-inches under chin. c. Left Cheek including 2-inches under jaw line d. Right cheek including 2-inches under jaw line. 3. Wash your hands immediately after applying the cream to your face. 4. I wash my face with a gentle dermatologist recommended cleanser after completing each section of my face. 5. My process set-up includes a watch to monitor the time, facial pads, and a magnifying mirror to check my work after each section. 6. I put a thick layer of dermatologist recommended moisturizer cream on my face after I’ve completed the process. 7. The chemical smell can linger on the skin. I found taking a shower after the process gets rid of the smell.

I have used this Sally Hansen Facial Hair Removal for a long time. I was having trouble finding it at the store, so I ordered it here. The packaging was different (as indicated it may be), but there has clearly been a change to the formula. At first, I thought maybe just the fragrance was improved, but something else has clearly changed. I have never had issues with this product before, but for whatever improvement was made in the smell the quality has drastically decreased. It did remove hair, as promised, but also left chemical burns on my face. This is very disappointing, as I will now have to look into another brand when I've been a long-time user of this brand.

The remover works well, super easy to use, straight forward. I used it on my eye brows (which I don’t think they say will work there, but it did) and my lip. The after-use lotion is terrible, awful, TRASH. Everything was fine until I used it. My skin burned so bad it took my breathe away, literally. I know it sounds dramatic, but I’m not joking and I definitely didn’t leave the remover on too long, if anything not long enough. Shockingly it barely turned red and simple A&D ointment made it almost completely better. So I would say the remover is okay for sensitive skin but the “soothing” after lotion? God, NO.

This stuff worked very well for me! I was a little bit nervous about buying any kind of hair removal product, but I knew I wanted to do something about the hair on my face! I spot tested it first, then waited till the next day to dive in. I applied it in sections to my face. I started with the right half, applying it on my jaw line and my cheek. I was so embarrassed but I praticially had a side burn that went all the way down to my jaw. Not super dark, but in the right light it was pretty unsightly. I was unsure if it would help since that hair was a little bit thicker than the light peach fuzz hairs I had on my check. I waited about 5 minutes before taking a damp cloth over it. It took it all off with no problem! I repeated the process again and used the product on my upper lip, as well as my chin, again to try to attack the peach fuzz I had going on...again it worked perfectly. Finished up with the left side of my face. I then applied the lotion provided in the kit and put it on twice over the next 12 hours or so. I experienced no burning, no breakout, and again the hair came off super easily. It has been two weeks since I used this product and the hair has not returned. The lotion really helps your skin feel super soft! I all ready feel better about my facial appearance and no longer feel self-conscious!! If you are one of those ladies that are blessed with hair...almost everywhere, I highly recommend using this product. Most important tip is to spot test it first, and use the lotion! :)

I’m super satisfied with this product. I have a super sensitive skin and I thought I will have red marks/spots after using it the first time but worry didn’t happen.

This Hair Remover kit is great for coarse and stubborn facial hairs - with long lasting results. Easy to use, no smell, and far superior to any facial hair remover I've used in the past. Impossible to find this product where I live - happy to have found it on Amazon.
