EDIT: Added imge as promised. Note, the flash is on) I had lots of media stored on a 2tb drive that was running out of space. I bought this for prime day sale despite the reviews saying it died quickly on them. I just couldn't beat the price. I am here to gladly say that it has been running flawlessly and silently (noise would indicate dying). I use a Linksys EA9500 V2 Smart Wifi Router. It did not recognize the drive at first. I reformatted it and still no change. I left it in for an hour and still no change. I then rebooted the router and it recognized only 2 TBs. After waiting another hour it then recognized all 5TBs and instantly recognizes all 5 in the event its unplugged, router loses power Etc. Looking into the specs, this hard drive was stated to not even be compatible to be used on a router as DLNA, but despite the claims, it works great and looks amazing in Skyblue brushed metal. I'll try to edit this by adding an image when I get a chance

I use it for my Xbox as an external hard drive it holds a lot of games and I've not had an issue with it disconnecting or not registering with my Xbox I like the fact that I can move it from one state to another when I go to Arizona to visit friends and family or just taking it to a friend's house 4 all night gaming sessions something and use it there takes up like zero space I set mine right on my Xbox One on the opposite side of the fans make a little noise haven't had a problem with overheating on either the hard drive or my Xbox very satisfied

I picked up this lovely little device to expand the capacity of our Xbox One S 1TB, which was in immediate jeopardy of running out of space. Setup was quick and easy (even though it's not *specifically* marketed as a game console-designated external drive). Performs well, thanks to the speedy USB 3.0 interface. I haven't noticed any lag or slowdowns when loading data from it. All in all, I couldn't be happier with it.

I have a newer model Mac book Pro with the touch bar (idk the year so sorry) and my previous hard drive wasn't compatible with my new laptop. I ordered this hesitantly but it works really well! It's definitely really thick which I wasn't expecting but I have a little bubble wrap such I repurposed for it (it's a glossier one lol). It's so far been really easy to work with and use. I am glad I bought it and if you're worried about using it with a Mac, it worked with mine!

There is a lot of space on this drive. I am slowly weeding out my smaller hard-drives and using larger ones. I love the blue color because it helps me distinguish what types of backups are on it. I have one for each computer, set of data, etc. It really comes in handy and I love that I've never had a problem with a Seagate hard-drive. The only down-side is that it is (minimally) larger than some of my other portable hard-drives. However, this is very affordable and you can't beat it at this price! I would recommend!

Bought this drive with the reputation of LaCie (having 3 more such drive with Thunderbolt 2 and USB 3.0. Never had issues until I bought this specimen. Not only it is not recognized by a regular OS drive utilities, but it actually asks you to use their "Seagate, obviously not LaCie" utility. Horrible experience. Never buy this drive. Being using LaCie on Mac, Linux and Windows with the OLD LaCie -- never had a problem. Seagate screwed up the copmany's best lines of products. But them what is new. This one is not recognized as a 5TB size by anything -- neither Mac, Linux nor Windows. What kind of fresh hell is this? Seagate? What the hell product did you come up with, dear Seagate? Is it an apple, pear, orange or simply a flop? Why? It is not enoigh the Google owns you guys, you just have to give in to your precious data storage too -- Seagate. Once exemplary, now the bottom of the hole. Will NEVER BUY LaCie after Seagate flop miracle!!! Suggest DO NOT BUY to anyone who respects themselves as specialist in the field or simply advanced consumer. APPARENTLY SEAGATE CAN BUY 6 GOOD REVIEWS, BUT CAN YOU TRUST THESE AT ALL? NO RESPECT FOR SUCH COMPANY FROM ME! With disrespect Very disappointed customer!!!

Great compact storage drive with sample space with 5 terabyte. Ready setup, as simple as plugging in a flash drive. The drive included a backup program that I found too be less user friendly than a previous version I received with an older Seagate drive.

This drive functions well - daily, weekly or monthly - for me without issue. I wouldn't let a gorilla play with it but for a consumer product it does the job and reliably! Please note, the Seagate vs. WD vs. whatever HD comparison remarks get stupid so buy the drive that seems to have the highest number of positive ratings! I've owned many hard drives going back to the 80's and these manufacturers all have good devices as well as lemons in their product lines - do a few minutes research and you'll be good!

Excellent .. lucky enough to get it at rs 5799 .. I think 5tb at 5799 is insane price ..
