Awesome onion cutter love the way the onions came out to be highly recommend this machine

I am loving my onion bloomer. This machine makes an excellent blooming onion. Make it so much easier to batter your onion for great results. I was doing this the old fashion way, cutting my onion with a knife. It was not a bad job, but it was no way near the professional look you get from this machine. You do need a bit of muscle to press it down on the onion, especially if you are a shorty like me. I have to make sure it is sitting at a level that I can push down on it. Not really, because my hubby is tall and gets the job done for me. My personal cheater, lol.

It works very well but takes up a lot of space and is slightly expensive for what it is. I bought mine open box and saved about 15 dollars but I think at 40 it's a bit high. That said this thing makes delicious blooming onions if you cook them right and is pretty easy to use, I was worried it would be difficult but no it really isn't.

So I paid for new and it came obviously used. Dirty all over, blades kind of worn, box old and used. Booklet stained. Seller needs to be more specific on what they are selling you. But is in good shape and functional.

I discovered a flaw in this onion slicer with my very first onion. It slices the onion all the way through, and you end up with onion petals, not an onion blossom, because there's no spacer at the bottom of the two-blade guides to stop you from cutting all the way through. So I slipped 1/2 x 1' PVC spacers over the blade guide post and dropped them down to the bottom of the guide posts, now the blades can't cut all the way through no matter how hard I need to push to cut the onion, the onion will now have a 1 inch uncut stim to hold the blossom together. Other than that, I love it.

It's hard to use. Not worth the exorbitant amount of money that is being charged for this.

I made a lot of onion blossoms when we got it they all turned out just like restaurant style.

We love this ! I have made 6 blooming onions so far , the only thing I have to complain about is I’m not strong enough to push it down, I have to get my husband to do it . But they turn out great.
