Excellent add to the Sigma Lens
This is an excellent addition to get for your Sigma 18-300mm Comp. lens.It adds that extra bit zin to ones photos in the close ups.

Works great with my Sigma 18-300 lens. I get great close ups of flowers.

Great with the Sigma 18 to 300 macro zoom changes the minimum macro ratio from 1 to 3 to 1 to 2.

It works
Have just played with it a little bit so far on sigma 18-300 and it has given some pretty good pictures of spiders I found at a SRA near me. Itโs not like an actual macro lens or even extension tubes but it works.

It Works on a Sony RX10 IV
Like the other reviewer, I find it works on an RX10 IV with a zoom set to 300mm (35mm eqv) or longer. The diopter level is about 1.75, making this the weakest achromatic close-up lens I could find. I also have a 3 diopter lens, but this is easier to use, if not as powerful.It takes a bit of practice using these, but a high f-ratio that stops short of introducing diffraction effects helps, as the depth of field gets pretty shallow. Image quality is good, with none of the color fringing introduced by the single element close-up lenses.

Great results with Sony RX10iv
I've posted photos both "with" and "without" this screw-on lens, all shot about 12" from the subject. You really have to experiment/play around with these and your individual camera to see what results you can get at different distances, focusing systems, etc. But at this price it's definitely worth the experiment. I don't believe you can put a standard plastic lens cap over this, however, so if you'll be leaving this on, grab a neoprene "hat hood." I ordered the OP/TECH USA Hood Hat size Small and it fits snugly/perfectly on the RX10iv with this macro lens.
