This hyper silver looks amazing on the 20 inch optional sport wheels. Just make sure and prep your wheels before painting them. As long as you take your time and layer your coats, they will look fantastic. I will come back with an update on the durability of the hyper silver paint from Dupli Color. If you need to do a full restoration one, aerosol ken will be enough for one wheel. Make sure and use plenty of clearcoat in order to seal the hyper silver color underneath for durability.

Used this product to re do wheels that became corroded from salt atmosphere. The end result was very good.

Works well, color is as described

I purchased a set of used wheels with some minor curb rash to repair. There were no tires installed on the wheels. This kit looked to be the perfect solution. I followed all the proper steps to refinish a set of wheels. 1. I scuffed the entire surface of every wheel with a Brillo pad. 2. I sanded down every deep scratch in the existing finish to level things out. 3. I used Dupli-Color primer filler to fill in the low spots. 4. I sanded the primer filler. 5. I applied the Silver paint as instructed on the can. 6. I applied the Clear Coat as instructed on the can. I thought I did a good job and the results turned out really good. I brought the wheels in for tires to the largest dealership chain in my area for the install. During the balancing process, the machine damaged the paint around the center cap. The damage was on all 4 wheels. It wasn't like some wrench monkey threw the first tire on the machine and wasn't careful. The damage was consistent on every wheel. They said the paint felt very soft and the damage couldn't be avoided. They were super nice about it and offered to have their wheel expert look at the wheels to see if they could be repaired. I can't blame the dealership because I don't think there was anything they could have done to prevent this from happening. This wasn't some corner shop. They were a preferred tire installer through Tire Rack where I ordered the tires. I won't recommend this kit unless your tires are already installed and balanced and still have a lot of thread left. Had I known this paint was that soft I wouldn't have every used it. Or I would have had the tires installed first and then did all the work. It's really disappointing considering the amount of work that went into this project.
