Battery Saver Board Replacement for IKEA Duktig Mini-Kitchen Stove (Pre-2014 Kitchens Only)

I believe the issue with my stove was caused by the buttons, but just in case, I bought this part because who doesn’t want less battery changes. It installed easily and so far, is working great!

Following the thorough online instructions, this was a breeze to install, even for someone like me who has no experience with circuit boards (15 minutes, mostly wrangling the stove out of the kitchen itself). It worked exactly as expected!... Unfortunately, it stopped working after a day, as one reviewer mentioned. But then I reached out to the maker, Jeremy, who right away sent some ideas of what the problem might be. After checking all the basics, I saw how corroded the buttons were and suspected that was the real source of the problem. I sent a picture to Jeremy, who concurred that was probably the issue and generously offered to take a closer look if I sent it to him! He just now sent me am update of how he fixed the problem just by putting some contact cleaner on the buttons. But he was also so inspired, he is also now in the works of making a button product to replace in the stove! So grateful to Jeremy's dedication to great quality products and making toddlers happy! I encourage you to reach out to him if you encounter problems with installation or use.

Read what this is for. Not for the model that my child has.. . I'm sure it works for what it is intended... was disappointed on myself not paying attention tipp details..

Does not work on newer Duktig kitchens. The newer kitchens have three ports instead of five and do not appear to have a removable circuit board. Disappointing . . .

I ordered this thinking it would make our stove work again. Turns out that one of the wires had disconnected and it worked again once we reconnected the wires. However, we wouldn't have figured that out (or even had the guts to open the stove in the first place) without buying this board. Now that it is installed, it works great and we are looking forward to not replacing the batteries so often.

We bought a second hand ikea duktig kitchen on marketplace, the seller disclosed that the burners no longer worked (they actually did but the battery compartment needed to be cleaned and batteries replaced). Before I realized this I did a search and learned a bunch from this seller’s website! We have the six battery model and did not want to deal with constantly replacing the batteries. We received the board today, it was easy to install and I love that it shuts off after two minutes. Thanks for helping us save this timeless little kitchen from the trash.

I know nothing about circuitry but I’ve been in early childhood education for a few years. Noticed the elements were not lighting in my new classroom, even when I replaced the 6 batteries. Found your piece through a search engine and couldn’t be happier! Only spent $15 instead of the cost of a whole new unit (IKEA doesn’t sell replacement element units & the ones on Etsy didn’t light up)! Thank you thank you thank you!
