THOUGHT WE'D TAKE A CHANCE ON THIS PURCHASE BUT ENDED UP LOVING IT AND WHAT A TERRIFIC VALUE FOR THE GUY'S. WE ARE RUNNING FOUR FEEDERS AND THE COST OF THE COLORING IS JUST CRAZY. SO,,, SAW THIS ON AMAZON AND DECIDED TO GIVE IT A TRY. WHAT A BLESSING ON OUR OUTTA POCKET $$ BOOK AND NOT HAVING TO BUY THE COOKING PRODUCT. AS YOU CAN SEE, IT'S A FULL HOUSE ON ALL OF THEM. I USE IT MAINLY FOR MY OWN ENJOYMENT AND EASE IN DETERMINING HOW FULL EACH OF THEM ARE. IT'S JUST SO MUCH EASIER TO SEE HOW FULL EACH OF THEM ARE. I KNOW THE "PURISTS" CLAIM THAT THE COLOR IS NOT NEEDED NOR GOOD FOR THEM BUT,, STARTING OUT WITH JUST A HALF DOZEN AND WITHIN A COUPLE OF YEARS HAVE MOVED OUR POPULATION OF THEM LITTLE BUGGER'S UP TO "DOZEN'S",, WELL THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING THEY SAY. IT'S JUST SUPER AND WILL BE BUYING MORE FOR SURE.. I HAVE TRIED TO SUBMIT A VIDEO BUT CAN'T SEEM TO PRESENT IT FOR SOME REASON. BELIEVE ME,, "THIS IS A GREAT BUY" !!

The humming birds seem drawn to it .. BUT I suggest when making your 4:1 (water : sugar) 'nectar, add another cup of water : ]Reason: as the 'nectar sits in the feeder for a few days, there is a descent of 'sugar concentration' down to the bottom of the feeder, resulting in a much higher 'sugar concentration' in the actual feeding tray .. maybe too much .. So try a 5:1 or even 6:1 ... and observe your lil humming friends behaviour ;))

I was going through little bottles of red food color left and right because I make my own hummingbird nectar. It just got too expensive to purchase the ready made stuff because the summers are hot in Missouri and you have to change the food every 2-3 days. I save money by making my own simple syrup for the birds by combining equal parts water and sugar plus a little clover honey. Just a few drops of this food color attracts hummingbirds galore. Great stuff.

I own a bakery and had been looking for a bulk red color for red velvet cakes. It doesnt change the flavor and it give the perfect color!

5 Stars when it arrives safely. I ordered one bottle and it leaked a little. Loved it so much I order two additional bottles (1 for a friend) but they leaked in shipping and were returned before I received them. I tried again and ordered two. This time they got through but both leaked inside the plastic bag. I probably lost about an ounce out of each. The label is stained beyond reading and my hands are finally back to their original color. That red stain is very hard to remove.

Great for coloring my hummingbird mix - sugar/water. Although coloring is not necessary, I find that the hummingbirds are accustomed to seeing it. Good value for the $ when compared to tiny bottles at grocery store.

Purchased this because we wanted to make our own hummingbird feeder food. The coloring appears to be a decent quality and colors well, but the bottle wasn't protected sufficiently in transient by the shipping material and was delivered with a broken lid. Thank goodness it also came wrapped in a plastic bag. The broken lid and leakage makes the bottle an absolute mess to handle.

I use a lot of Red Food coloring this time of year and it was nice to be able to have it delivered to my door rather than hunting for it in the stores. It was delivered on time and packaged well. My only complaint was when I opened the package I was concerned because it looked like the bottle had been leaking but upon further checking it was fine. I assume another bottle had leaked on it. It was just the label and the bottle was clean. I was fine with that but would have appreciated knowing it in advance.
