Urgos Grandfather Clock Suspension Spring

I was quoted a price from a clock repair person of $150 for the part and $100 to install. I can accept $100 to install but not $150 for the part. This part cost me less than $25 and fit perfect. Within 20 min I had the grandfather clock working. It has been a week since I installed the part and still working and keeping time.

Recently moved my inherited grandfather clock into our home, and this piece snapped when we tried to reinstall the pendulum. I was devastated! The only clock repair shop near us closed over a year ago. Did a little research & figured out what this piece was called… I was super excited to find it on Amazon! Only available 1 other place online, but the shipping was high (& would’ve taken much longer to get here). Such a silly little piece, but the clock won’t work without it. Perfect match!

Had no trouble installing this but I did need 4 hands to hang the pendulum.

The first spring was o.k. In the process of installing the spring it broke. The second one I ordered looked like the first one but was thicker and had to be altered before it would fit in the securing slot in the clock works. The clock is now working and keeping good time. The shipping was fast and over all I thought I was fortunate to find the spring. Thank You

Fixed the grandfather clock.

I have a Howard Miller grandfather clock from 1980 that was originally purchased brand new by my grandfather. During a recent winding I noticed that the pendulum was slightly wobbling in its rotation. The original suspension spring was cracked on one side. I was amazed to find a replacement so easy. This spring fit exactly and has brought new life into a wonderful heirloom. I did have to readjust the pendulum weight after install, but in the last 6 days it is keeping perfect time.

Fit my Howard Miller Grandfather clock, works properly. My old one snapped during disassembly for a move, they are fragile.
