Get Me (The Keatyn Chronicles Book 7)

Author Jillian Dodd is the master of Emotion Manipulation. One minute you're all fine and dandy, smiling away. The next, you're sobbing uncontrollably, and are a blubbering mess. But that was what made Get Me, EPIC. She took what we have all fallen head over heels in love with, and made into the best darn ending possible. Not only does Keatyn continue to grow in Get Me, she gives everything her all. She doesn't stand down in moments of intensity. She doesn't fall victim to the harsh reality of life. Nope, she continues striving to be her best. I love her. I really love her. I loved her in each and every book before GM, but I am pretty sure my love for her grew ten-fold. Keatyn, will never just be a fictional character to me. She will be so much more than that. I have been on her journey now for close to two years, and I have absolutely LOVED every minute of it. Whether it killed me or excited me, these books and Ks journey gave me so much. Get Me took us on one helluva roller coaster ride. It was bumpy and intense. It was extreme and crafty. It was sweet and sexy. Oh, was it it ever sexy? I knew Ms. Dodd could write some steamy scenes, but those extra spicy steamy scenes in GM, left me breathless! Total sensory overload, if you catch my drift. This is by far the absolute best story that JD has given to the world. It packed, not only a mean punch, but hope. Hope for a new day. Hope for forever. And hope for K. I ugly cried, A LOT! I didn't think it was possible to have so many unexpected turn of events to throw me for a loop. And again, K gave her all in this book. Really in the series, she grew so much. It was beautiful. It made my heart full. Plus, K finally gets her Moon Boy! (Swoon). Thank you JD for giving us this fantastic series, and letting us all grow with Keatyn. But it wasn't just Keatyn, it was each and every character that was brought to life in this series. Even Vincent!!!

I don't even know where to start with this book. Get Me starts off right where Hate Me left off. So you already know that it's emotional. Right off the bat the tears were flowing.And it seemed with each page the tears flow got heavier and heavier. And then they stopped. Not completely but they stopped for a while, then they would come back. Or at some points there was so much emotion and so much happiness and love within the pages that The tears would just be coming down and I wouldn't even notice. Jillian had a lot of twists and turns in this book. It felt like every page there was something new going on that threw off the characters. There where so many WTF Moments in this book. From the first page to the last there are twists and turns and scenes that just made me go What the f***, or are you serious, or you've got to be f-ing kidding me, or other assortments of cussing and completely freaking out internally and externally. I loved seeing all the characters in this book and finding out how much they changed and how they all managed to help Keatyn become the person she was always meant to be. Throughout the Series we saw Keatyn grow up. And we see that change in her during this book. We see sides of her that were only glimpsed at during the process of her coming into her own. We see glimpses of the girl she was and the girl she still is because those parts don't ever go away. You just learn whats important in the end. And in the end that's what happened with Keatyn. She learned what was really important and got her life back, not just for her but for everyone. Keatyn's journey is one that will stay with me always. I am still reeling and have not come down form the high that this book put me on even though I finished it on release day. This Book ended in the perfect way and I cannot believe that it is over already! It doesn't seem like it took over two years to get the end of this amazing series, but if I think about how long we had to wait in-between installments it seems too long! WOW...Just, WOW! I'm not sure where to even start this review as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who is yet to read the final instalment! Let’s just say this is an amazing book to complete an ever more amazing series! I have been following this series for almost 2 years and couldn't wait for the final book to be released. I was patiently waiting for August 25th and was thrilled when it was downloaded onto my kindle just in time for the bank holiday. Now that I've read the final book and it’s all over, I'm gutted that Keatyn's story has come to an end :( But wow, what a ending it was! This booking had me laughing, crying, gasping to the point that my jaw hit the deck several times, and at certain points I swear I started turning blue where I was holding my breath for so long! This book really is the best thing since sliced bread! I never re-read books as I think there are so many stories out there waiting to be read, but this is a series I will defiantly be coming back to at some point. Jillian Dodd is a brilliant author and ‘The Keatyn Chronicles’ will stick with me for a long time! I had to peel myself away from it which was a chore in itself! And at night I found myself dreaming about what I had previously read that day – that’s how addicted to this book I was. I even think there is potential for another book to follow on from this, I’d love to know what happens next for everyone. This could just be because I'm not quite ready to let go yet, who knows! ;) I really can’t rave about this series enough – there are no words to describe how amazing it is! Go purchase ‘Stalk Me’ and get reading, you won’t be disappointed!

Okay. So it's going to be really hard to find the right words for this review. Not only do I need to sum up (without spoilers) this amazing end to the series, but I feel like I should acknowledge how incredible the other books leading up to the conclusion were. These books are so much more than your typical young adult series. Of course, there were the teenage dilemmas and boy dramas, but intermingled with these elements, were fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat, suspensful moments. I never cry in books. Or television shows. Or movies. But I bawled in this book. Absolutely sobbed for a significant portion of the novel - not just because of the action or the intensity, but because it was coming to an end. The length of the series made it significantly harder to let go of the characters I'd grown to love. And even those I'd grown to not so love. The struggle was REAL. The only things keeping me going now, are the impending potential for character spin-off's and the KC Facebook Group - which is essentially a counselling page. I definitely recommend this book - not just to those looking for a light hearted read, but also those who love a bit of suspense and an incredible author who loves to communicate with her fans!

Omg I loved this book. It had me smiling, laughing and of course crying. It was a great start right from the ending of book six. And the ending is amazing. It kind of told us what happens to all the character's but leaves enough hanging to make you want to buy the Hollywood series. Thanks Jillian you did a fantastic job as per usual!

Don't get me wrong, I loved the first three books in this series, but then somewhere along the line it feels like the author lost her way. It started out with Keatyn, the girl who had to pretend to be somewhere else to figure out who she really was. The books were so full of witty dialogue, quirky characters and steamy scenes. The perfect mix. Then beginning in book 4 the books somehow lost something...In my reading group we actually had the theory that the author changed the whole story line because of the fan-groups majority who favored a certain main-character who until we read some comments in the fan group NOBODY in our reading group had on the radar... Back to this book...This book was actually the first book I deliberated returning it AFTER I had finished it. Yeah it was that bad, I only finished it because I wanted to know how they conquered Vincent and secondly I was desperately hoping for the book to get better. which, sadly it didn't. I had so many issues with this book but I will just concentrate on a couple. 1. The "Steamy Scenes". I loved the authors description of these scenes, in the first book. It was funny and sexy. Now, not so much. It actually sounded like a thirteen year old took over writing these scenes, while blushing and giggeling with her friends. I mean seriously, I had to cringe every time I read the word "titan". We actually have a word for what I was feeling during most of this book in German. "Fremdschämen". It means you are embarrassed on someone else's behalf. And that is exactly what I was feeling for most of this book. 2. Overall this book just had a sappy feeling to it. Especially the Epilogue that I hated. So over the top and, yes, sappy. The good things about this book? I loved a certain scene, which I won't spoil for those who decide to ignore my ramblings and read this book anyway. This scene involves Tommy and Abby in France...and its actually worth the three stars I gave this book (Without this scene it would have been a 1-star review) So all in all, this series started out very promising but for me the books just couldn't uphold the high expectations I had starting this series.

Initial Thoughts: A brilliant ending. I have SO MANY FEELS. For me, this was probably the best book of the series, and I enjoyed it immensely. This was much more fast-paced than previous books and I loved how Jillian tied everything up at the end. While it's not quite a neat little bow (Brooklyn's story made me really sad and Riley doesn't get his HEA but I'm not complaining as he has a spin-off series, yay) it brought a fair amount of happy endings. Of course, the two main threads were wrapped up in this one - who is Moon boy and did she choose him, and the stalker plotline. It looked like it was going a certain way on the romance and I was feeling an actual pain in my chest but thankfully it all went my way. I had been mad at the other boy for most of this series and one of the things I really liked about Get Me was how Jillian brought me to a point of understanding in that relationship. Both of them thought they were in love, wanted to be in love with one another as they had been crushing so hard in secret for so long but the reality vs the fantasy was very different. Both also had a lot of growing up to do over the series and it was beautiful that they came to the same realization at the same time: They would always love each other and be a part of each other's lives but only as friends. All my frustration with him melted away at that and, in hindsight, I have to admire how Jillian crafted that relationship. And I was incredibly happy she chose the right boy because he was perfect for her and with every book I just fell more and more in love with him so I was jumping for joy (even if Keats did give me a heart attack with how she was acting at this part of the story.) The stalker plotline ended explosively although I think some of those scenes could've been a bit more developed but it was great to see Keatyn take control of the situation and take back her life. Probably the thing I enjoyed most about this series was Keatyn's development (as well as Aiden because come on, The God of All Hotties!) Keatyn was an immature, spoiled little brat in the first book and she has matured into a responsible, confident young woman who knows what she wants and takes steps to achieve it. I adored the ending and how Jillian tied in Captive Films and the trilogy on the big screen and I thought it was very cleverly done. Having read this series now, I can happily recommend it. I loved the angst-driven romance throughout this series and all the love interests were fun even if I was frustrated at certain points. It meanders a bit in some of the books and the stalker aspect could've been executed better but for swoony romance and high-school drama, it gets ten out of ten. Overall series rating: 4 stars. Actual Rating for Get Me - 4.5 stars.
