Exactly what I was looking for. The standard white paper lantern that I had in college! After a large chandelier came crashing down from the vaulted ceiling in my living room due to a faulty hook, I decided to get a hanging lamp that weighed hardly anything. You can put a really bright bulb in these and the paper diffuses it beautifully. It's like a giant bubble floating in the room. Very elegant. Everyone compliments us on it and it couldn't be more simple. Just be careful when assembling, hanging and changing the light bulb, the paper is fragile and prone to puncture and becomes more brittle over time. Take good care of it, though, and this lamp could last years. Note: The socket and cord is purchased separately and most every hardware store has them for a few bucks.

Such a pretty colour! Paper's a natural material, and has a rustic appeal. And it definitely has a totally different energy to synthetic and man-made materials, like plastic and glass. I can't wait to hang them up in my new underground home in Coober Pedy. They'll really help set the mood.

I have them up in my living room on my string lights and they add a lovely warm glow and make the place cozy.

These paper lanterns really look great and add a lot of character to a room. We have swag lighting in all bedrooms in our house and putting these paper lanterns over them seems to fit into the room decor no matter how it's decorated. My son's room was decorated with averengers stuff but a red paper lantern fit in just fine. Aside from the product though, what really makes a business memorable is their customer service. I have contacted this company regarding a product and they responded quickly and efficiently. They are clearly focused on customer satisfaction which makes all the difference. I will plan to order again in the future.

I don't normally write reviews but I'm so happy with this! It's very lightweight and we were able to hang it from the ceiling with a removeable celling hook/with battery powered puck lights hung inside since we're renting and didn't want to put a hole in the ceiling. Would recommend.

The way the shade clips onto the bulb instead of looping around the cord allowed too much of the socket to show, which looked tacky. It also made it more difficult to get the shade on an off. I love the look of them otherwise but we ultimately decided to get different ones that connected to the cord instead of the bulb. That said, the order arrived promptly and in good condition. The product is fine, just not what we wanted.

I have no problem with the lantern, itself, but I do contend with the sizing method. It seems to me that the measurement given on these should be that of the wire extender which is most relevant, rather than the equatorial diameter which really doesn't matter. I have a floor lamp that uses paper lantern & has its own 18" extender that is not interchangeable with the wire extender that comes with replacement lantern. I ordered an 18" diameter lantern to replace my broken one, thinking that the measurement indicated the extender. What I received was an 18" diameter lantern which takes a 16" extender. The lantern will not fit my floor lamp. I am now guessing that what I need is a 20" lantern in order to fit an 18" frame. This is something you might also need to consider when ordering.

It is beautiful. I needed a clip on shade and somehow drifted into another category without realizing my mistake. So....this shade isn't what I need but I will certainly make use of it anyway. It is meant to cover a bulb at the end of an electrical cord. I need a shade that clips onto a bulb on an existing lamp base. It was my mistake but I will create a very low level light as a night feature.
