2014 Laufrad Run Bike Red

I ordered this bike for my tall (40 inch) 3 year old. It fits him perfectly with at least another inch of seat adjustment. It also fits his older cousin who is 2 inches taller (at the max adjustment) and his younger cousin who is 3 inches shorter with room to go down more. The kids all love this bike and take turns riding it. They've taken it on pavement, off curbs, in grass, and on soft sand and had no problems. In reference to other reviews about the brakes being hard to adjust, I don't agree. They are the same difficulty to adjust as any other linear pull brake I've used. The brake mechanism is smaller, so there is less room for error in the adjustment, but ours was easily adjusted and works fine. It might not stop the bike on its own at high speeds, but no rear pull brake will, and we've had no troubles. I gave this 4 stars because I bought it, rather than the Burley MyKick, because of the higher weight limit (75lbs vs 50lbs). However, after only 3 days of riding, the seat post was bent and would no longer adjust. This was clearly our fault - someone had accidentally adjusted the seat above the minimum insertion mark. When I emailed Kinderbike to ask for a price quote on a new seat post, they offered to send a new one for free despite the damage being caused by user error. Additionally, they offered to send a steel post as well (the 2013 model seat post is aluminum). The new posts - they sent a steel and an aluminum - came quickly and we've had no problems since. With the steel post, a person much heavier than 75 lbs could ride this bike (if they can fit on it). All in all, this is an awesome product and the customer service was so good that I will definitely purchase from this company again. Update 2017: We've now used this bike for 4+ years and 4 children. It hasn't rusted and is in excellent condition. (Note: we removed the useless hand takes and brackets). It's amazing and made teaching the kids to ride a bike close to painless. Easily the best toy purchase I've ever made.

i love this bike. i grew up biking and wanted to get my son on a bike as soon as possible. ge was sooting around on this bike in minutes. he has had it for a few months and only plays on it alittle and doesn't lift up his feet yet, but he has his balance down.

This bike not only surprised my granddaughter, it also surpassed my expectations. Easy assembly and real sturdy.It even had a few extra safety features like a bike bell and reflectors. Surprise , 4 yrs later this bike is now used by the second granddaughter and still as sturdy as new , great buy !

My 3 year old son loves this bike! We gave it to him for his 3rd birthday and he just loves riding it! I think the balance bike concept is great and I recommend this bike to everyone! The bike arrived fairly quickly, I was very impressed with the delivery time.

fits my 4 year old kid, average in height. probably will be a bit too small next year. maybe i will have to purchase a longer chair. other than that it is realy great. he loves it. its light and everything is quality built.

My little grandson just loves this bike. A great way to learn balance for a regular bike later on. Love the German products.
