Eddie always wanted to be a cop, but after repeated rejection from the police academy he finds himself able to be employed only as a night watchman. However, unwilling to give up his dream of being a 'man in blue,' Eddie outfits his car to look like a squad car and begins wearing an LAPD uniform, using his power to assault and abuse prostitutes. But when he stumbles upon what he believes to be a murder, and discovers that the assailant might get away with it, his mind cracks and Eddie decides that the killer deserves his special brand of sadistic justice Review: Sexy, Interesting and Entertaining - It's so great that after a lifetime of movie watching, we can still find rare gems from yester-year that we've never heard of before. "Climax of Blue Power" is one of them, a film I'd never heard of before until bumping into clips of it on Youtube. There were several other films which combined adult with drama or adult with horror, even some (like those of Zebedy Colt), which combined the roughy with adult. But "Climax of Blue Power" seems to play better, a bit more polished than those others. The leading man does a good job of being sympathetic and creepy as the scene requires. His performances in the adult scenes are excellent and he is likable despite his character's dastardly deeds. This would be terrific on the bottom half of a double bill with "House on Straw Hill." It would also be pretty good paired with 1969's "The Ice House." You won't doze off watching this one and if you are collector of earthy retro drama, this ought not be missing from your collection. Review: Dvd and blue ray combo - First, this is actually a dvd blue ray combo and does include a dvd and blue ray even though it is not listed as such. Vinegar syndrome has done great job of reissuing this ultimate 42nd street classic. A must for fans of the sleazy 1970s.
