Great training sword
Good weight and balance. Texture is conducive to grip but also to adjusting grips mid-technique, as well as feeling minor hold shifts, something very difficult to do with mostly smooth instruments. Blunt edges ideal for experimentation. Takes surface damage purely cosmetically. Seems very solid and unlikely to break or chip from anything but the worst abuse. Has nice subtle decorative markings on the blade portion - it says something in Chinese, but I'll have to update this after I meet someone who can translate it for me. In meanwhile, it just looks nice. This is a fantastic quality product for training with a sword, and at time of this review, for a great price given the quality of it. Possibly useful in non-training situations; it's longer and heavier than a typical baseball bat. No gripes. Highly recommend this item.

Amazing training weapon and cosplay prop all in one!
Hefty and high quality, great size for swing training or just bashing stuff in the backyard. Super fun piece even to have as a collector's item. Feels great in hand and looks like something out of the comic books.

Best model out there with one small but fixable caveat.
Excellent. Straight. Hefty & dense polypropylene as it should be. Extremely durable. The area around the choke of the handle is ever slightly too narrow so I did a modified tapered tsukamaki with grip lines for enhanced control. This is still the best suburito out now so that problem is not a dealbreaker, as it can be remedied. Great shape.

Beefy
This thing is dope. The pictures don't do it justice. It's thick and has a nice weight to it. Great for training or self defense. It looks pretty intimidating.

Love it, good weight, good grib, sturdy
Excellent for swinging as exercise and stretching. It is heavier than the normal size ones and I can feel my muscles working to control it. I only got for work out (and no one messes with someone walking on the street with a big stick) while walking the dog. I don't use it to hit anything or for fighting of any kind. The grip is easy to hold onto. It is well made, smooth without plastic flash and I can't imagine it ever breaking. Definitely could break bones if you got hit with this.

Its a beast
I had a wooden tsuburito for many years and I finally broke it against a tree when singing it with all I could. I wanted to replace it and came across these. This is heavier, and doesn't seem to have the same feel for balance. To be fair I had years to grow accustom to my old one and maybe ill get more used to this. I have a feeling I might. The material is a bit softer than the wood. If It were used in a combat situation Im not 100% sure which one Id rather have. I think if the two came to blows this one would out last the wood, but the wood was faster and harder -yet lighter and perhaps more likely to snap... I like this product, I use it as a walking stick and when no ones watching I swing it around and do some sword kata. It feels good so swing but can be a little unwieldy -but thats maybe good for training. It def gives the arms and shoulders a work out. Honestly part of me wants to have this AND a wooden one. I def love this thing and recommend it. Oh and the markings along the side are very cool and discrete. I really like the cold steel back story of how these came about. Awnyway good luck and happy martial arting. ;)

High Quality Bargain
If you’re in the market for a proper training bokken, look no further. Blown away by the quality, weight, balance and durability of this beautiful suburito bokken. The price is an absolute steal!! I’ve been wielding it since it arrived!!

Hey Bat.....Meet Polypropylene Training Sword.
Impressive molded sculpt. Solid build. Aesthetic follows the Suburitō wooden design (a variation of the Bokken training sword). Weight is heavier than most Bokken I have held over the years. The edges and ends will scratch with use overtime, and like any mold injections, there is always a possibility of air bubbles that may cause these sort of items to break during high impact against more solid and affixed objects, so maybe don't go full berserk wielding the PP Suburitō. Longevity is expected to be good, but like any plastics, it is probably not advised to allow too much sunlight exposure over the accessory for prolonged periods of time (to prevent accelerated plastic degradation). Excellent price at $32.99 at the moment of purchase.

Whoops
I completely made the mistake thinking that I’d be receiving two and should’ve done more research / in depth look for it. I also thought that because there were two and it didn’t explicitly say “Training sword” at the time I bought it that they would be Kali sticks. However despite my mistake, the training sword is still extremely durable and good for practice... I’m also 5’0 so it takes a bit more effort than the other trainers I have which is both good and bad since it’s a little big for my height. Speaking on the training sword itself, it has a good balance and not top heavy at all. The handle is a good grip size for most hands, a little longer than usual but it’s alright. It’s finished in black but you can see that it’s got false a wood design. Has a good weight to it, the “Blade” part smoothly narrows to meets the handle where the hilt should be. Overall it’s pretty good. I would have given a 5 star as it does have traditional Japanese writings on one side of it which goes down almost the entire blade.

Sturdy
I used this to rehabilitate my elbow and shoulder after I was slinged up for a month and a half. I wouldn't use it for sparring or anything because you'd injure your partner. Good for swinging around when you're feeling restless. Currently mine is next to my bed in case someone comes snooping around my house and only needs broken ribs and not a bunch of buckshot in their lungs. This isn't a training implement, this is a weapon. If you whacked someone in the knuckles with this you'd shatter them. Once again, do not spar with this unless you hate your buddies.

Interessantes Teil
