M. Graham 30ml Tube Oil Paint, Hansa Yellow, Lemon

M. Graham makes wonderful, quality oil paint. I needed a new yellow color for a difficult painting I am working on, so I ordered Hansa yellow. I've never worked with it before. It is very like lemon yellow, but a little more golden and a very pleasant color. I find the paint a little watery, and I don't know if it is the nature of this particular color since it is semi-transparent paint. It also has a lightfastness of very good instead of excellent. But I've enjoyed using it on this project. Thanks for reading :)

I'm a professional artist and I've bought M. Graham paints before and have had great results. The Hansa Yellow is a great pigment, but the tube I purchased was heavily diluted in linseed oil. I had to let the paint I was using soak on cardboard to absorb the excess oil before it was usable. Normally, you'd find this kind of dilution in the cheaper store name brands, which is how they cut costs. I was surprised to find it in a well-known professional-grade brand like M. Graham. I'll be looking for another brand's Hansa Yellow pigment next time.

If you want to blend smoother...add a little more walnut oil to paint out of tube
