beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro, Black (Dt1990 (Renewed)

Was initially skeptical of the refurbished status as I didn’t know who did the refurbishing. Especially when the package arrived and it was clearly rough from usage/travel. My hesitation was eased when I opened the box and saw that the tape holding it closed said “Recertified - Bayerdynamic”. After that, everything was more than expected. The zipper case that these DT 1990 Pro’s came in is in excellent condition. Headphones look, and most importantly; sound fantastic. I have a massive head and the clamp is not bad at all. Same with the weight. I bought these for PC gaming primarily, and the only time I notice the size/weight is when I take them off after finishing a gaming session. I have these pairs of cans as a reference: Sennheiser 490HD Pro’s Corsair Virtuoso Pro’s Aune 5000’s PC38X’s And some Audeze Maxwell’s that crapped out on me. These refurbished DT 1990 Pro’s (not MK II’s) have quickly become my favorites by a large margin for gaming. I can hear people on the roof of a building from the bottom floor in Arc Raiders - meanwhile my friends can’t until we’re right beneath them. It is so crazy. These are 250 Ohm resistance headphones though - so make sure you have an amp/Dac to run these bad boys. I am using a Schitt Gunnr, and it is more than enough to run them (great Dac/amp combo unit for PC gaming by the way). The only downside is no mic. I use a SteelSeries external mic for comms, but there are plenty of easy solutions for that issue. Five stars. Definitely worth the retail price so getting them refurbished feels like I stole them. Clarity, imaging, sound stage width, everything is top level for me personally. Don’t let the “Renewed” mark scare you. Shipped fast too!

I use this for try-hard gaming, and it works well; I heard footsteps from a mile away on Escape from Tarkov, 10/10 would buy again for the audio quality. The headband is durable and very comfortable as well for those extended sessions, as it doesn't weigh as much as I thought it would with the padding it has.

First off, if you want a headphone that you can wear all day these are your cans. Secondly you will absolutely need to EQ these for casual listening the treble can be harsh and has an edge to it that cuts off some of the smoothness in the high ends, also I think the mids suffer a bit with the non analytical pads. The thing these do better than any headphone I've tried yet is imaging, it is very easy to tell what direction something is coming from in video games, but honestly the soundstage isn't wide enough to be immersive. These are what they were designed to be, very technical headphones and don't worry about getting the renewed onese, mine arrived in perfect condition, I just dont' think I can keep them with how harsh those highs are on my ears, maybe if your hearing isn't as sensetive these will just sound clear to you. either way it's a great product from a trusted brand at a great price renewed, just know what you are getting. Oh and the coiled cable is pure magic, I want one with all of my headphones now.

Wow. Pinnacle of headphones in my opinion. I wear these suckers for 14 hours at a time and get no headaches or earaches. The open back design lets me hear my wife yelling at me so I don’t have to hit her with the “huh?” Everytime she asks a question. Core length is perfect in my opinion and the sound quality is unmatched. They feel and sound expensive. Worth the money.

Here is my review after 3 months of use. It fits well on my head, and is very comfortable in long listening sessions. Its weight make them unforgettable, but can be ignored from time to time. The driver quality is amazing, with great imaging, soundstage and low distortion. However, the 8k spike in frequency response hurt my ear at first, but I can adapt to that after about a month. You can always eq it if you don't like the sound. This is the best headphone for eq in my experience.

Audio and fit is amazing!!! I can tell the difference audio-wise by a longshot over my Bluetooth headphones. Refurbished is the way to go, quality and condition of the product were perfect upon delivery, minus the high price tag.

I bought these headphones with the Amazon renewed (excellent condition) the box was roughed up and the headphone case had a scratch on it. Otherwise it seems new. The headphones are wonderful. Clear and detailed. I have read that they can be a bit sharp, that is not my experience. Vocals sound just great on them. I am going to pad roll with them to see if I can get a bit more bass. Totally worth the buy.

Needs an amp to power it properly. Fantastic clarity. Bought renewed for a great price
