The Ancient Egyptian Wisdom Texts [Ashby, Muata] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. The Ancient Egyptian Wisdom Texts Review: Five Stars - Must Read Review: A 40 page pamphlet. - His “books” tend to around 150 pages. Add to that the large font and many pictures and drawings that take up many pages, I’d say these are more like pamphlets or booklets. The cost ($30 and up) is enough to make me wonder. I also saw that he writes books on marketing yourself as an author. Pretty disappointing. This book, “The Ancient Egyptian Wisdom Texts” does include the Wisdom Texts (also about a short chapter) but translated so roughly, they’re unreadable. The info in them is great, I just wish he would put all his stuff together in one book and charge $30 - a reasonable fee for how much writing your getting. In sum, it looks to me like something you’d sell at a workshop for no more than $5. Maybe Ashby should contemplate greed and try to reign it in. “The term Neterianism is derived from the name Shetaut Neter, meaning ‘Hidden Divinity.’ It is the ancient philosophy and mythic spiritual culture that gave rise to the ancient Egyptian civilization. Those who follow the spiritual path of Shetaut Neter are therefore referred to as Neterians. The fundamental principles common to all denominations of ancient Egyptian religion may be summed up in the four Great Truths that are common to all the traditions of the ancient Egyptian religion.” (The Ancient Egyptian Wisdom Texts)
