This tool really works and I am happy I bought it.
This is a very nice wire stripper/cutter. I use this all the time now. Makes stripping wires for solder jobs a breeze. I highly reccomend. I have used it for 12 gage Nomex and it strips the outer casing right off and then the individual wires too. I also use it for my electric guitar builds with 18-22 gage wire stranded or solid.

A "Must-Have" for Vehicle Upfits and Complex Wiring Hubs
If you have ever spent an afternoon stripping dozens of wires for a central power block or a relay board, you know how quickly hand fatigue sets in with traditional manual strippers. I added these Klein Tools 11061 self-adjusting strippers to my kit specifically for a professional vehicle upfit, and they have completely changed my workflow. Effortless Speed and Precision The self-adjusting mechanism is a massive time-saver. When you're moving between 12 AWG power leads for a siren and 22 AWG signal wires for a lightbar controller, not having to hunt for the right "notch" in the tool is huge. You just insert the wire, squeeze, and it pulls a clean strip every single time without nicking the copper strands. It’s consistent, repeatable, and significantly faster than manual alternatives. Built for Professional Environments These are true "Klein" quality—heavy-duty and built to last. I’ve used them in cramped footwells and inside server racks where you don't have much room to maneuver, and the tension thumb wheel allows you to fine-tune the stripping force for different insulation types. The Cutter: The built-in wire cutter is surprisingly sharp and handles 10-22 AWG with ease, allowing you to trim and strip with one tool in your hand. The Adjustable Stopper: If you need a consistent strip length for terminal blocks or crimp connectors, the adjustable depth stopper is a great feature that ensures a professional, uniform finish across the entire project. Ergonomics and Grip The handles are well-padded and provide plenty of leverage. Even after stripping wires for a full 12-circuit fuse block, I didn’t experience the usual palm soreness. The tool feels balanced and "industrial" rather than flimsy, which is exactly what I need for gear that is going to be tossed in a duty bag or a workshop drawer. Final Thoughts For basic household repairs, these might be overkill, but for anyone doing professional automotive electrical work, security equipment installations, or complex hobbyist electronics, they are an essential investment. They provide a level of speed and professional consistency that manual strippers simply can’t match.

Best wire stripper I've ever used.
Fast, easy, convenient wire stripper. Best is class I suspect. For multiple decades I've used much lesser tools to wire strip include pocket knifes and the combo tool wire cutter with stripper. This tool excels in it's single purpose. Handles many gauges of wire flawlessly. Glad I bought it. Expensive and worth it.

Worth it!
Only issues is the stopper keeps flopping lose. I've been coveting for an automatic wire stripped ever since a high school classmate brought their dad's tool in to show off. Finally I got hired for a big (for me) job. It involved 6 nmc & a handful of dc wires. It was an abandoned job & I was hired to finish the termination. The Klein11061 mowed through the outer sheath & effortlessly stripped the inner wires. There were no issues with wires that had a clear thhn outer coating - had no slipping issues that I had seen on some reviews. I hated your old school strippers & have always went for a box cutter growing up. This auto stripper is luxurious. PS - I've also tested the Klein11061 on cat5e cables that I had laying around & some rubber power cables. Not a single strand was nicked! PPS - wire cutter blades were riveted. Don't think it will wear out cutting through copper. the back of the stripper had thin hard plastic covers - hope they don't shatter. PPPS - the stopper is anodized aluminium, not plastic. A couple drops of loctite fixed the flopping

Great addition to my toolbox
Stripping wires is fast and easy, very good tool to have, no more fumbling to find the right gauge size. I highly recommmend.

This replaced my manual strippers and I love it
Works really well, the self adjustment of the blade leads to quick uniform strips every time. The blade is sharp enough to cut through tougher jacketing but struggled with hardened plastic found on some commercial lines and did not work for fiber wrapped fire lines. My only complaint is the locking knob for the guide comes loose during normal operating practices but it’s easy to tighten back up.

Amazing. A real game changer for most wire stripping needs
Man am I glad I got this guy. I've been using the standard wire strippers with the specifically sized, sharpened holes (you know the type) for years and years and have always just thought they were a big pain. Even ones from good brands had a nasty habit of cutting into fine stranded wires so I would have to either use a bigger slot or the correct size slot, but not closed all the way to score around the insulation and then tear it the rest of the way off. What a pain. This one is 100 times easier. As long as you stay within its capacity it has absolutely no problem stripping fine stranded or solid core wire. And there's not really any adjustments or care needed with regard to gauge, as long as you are under a certain size. There is a tension knob that I think is supposed to fine tune it to certain gauges, but I never bother. It's not intuitive at all as to what it even does. Anything below 10 awg strips easily (except for some multi-conductor wires) and 10 is alright too sometimes, though the thicker the wire the harder it is to get a specific amount of insulation off. There's also the little depth stop thing that really helps keep the amount of insulation removed over a number of wires the same, which is super nice. It itself is kind of a pain to adjust though. The locking screw for it seems really inconsistent as to how much you need to loosen before it'll move. Overall though, for pretty much any wire smaller than 10awg (and occasionally 10awg) and single conductor (and sometimes multiple), this is a completely brilliant stripper and you totally need one.

This is a fantastic bit of kit and worth investing the extra money
Like everybody I have been stripping wires by hand for ages, using a sharp stanley style knife and some pliers, but when faced with this adapter to strip and re-solder I decided enough was enough and so made the jump to invest in some professional wire strippers - and boy am I glad I did! These are quite frankly game changing in how quickly and accurately they can strip wires - I didn't even have to make any adjustments straight out of the box as they auto adjust and worked straight away with all the different wire sizes used in the photographs I'm not sure about the cheaper ones, they might be just as good, but I did a bit of research on the Internet before buying these and the choice of professionals seems to be "blue handled Kleins" If you are thinking of buying these, I would say do :)

QUALITY KLEIN TOOL
This is an all-metal tool with no plastic parts to break, hence it costs more. Tested it on 10 to 20 gauge wire sizes and it works well. I'm happy.
