So far so good
Love these lights! Great light output for the power. Previous purchase of this product was a HUGE disappointment with multiple failures (prox 40% failure rate). Bulbs were good and no mechanical problems with the failed fixtures but the ballast circuit died on the problem units. I disassembled one of the new fixtures purchased through Amazon, comparing it with one of the failed units from a previous purchase, and the circuit board has been redesigned with a better quality board and components. The new lights turn on faster and are brighter than the old lights that are still working. Perhaps they fixed their quality control issues. No problems in the three weeks that the new lights have been in service. Looks promising...

A good yard light at a good price
We've used this same fixture for many years and have, for the most part, been very happy with it. A very bright light, easy to mount on the house, and pretty easy to replace the bulb. The only problem we've had with them at all is that the sensor, or circuitry involved with it, fails after a fairly-reasonable time and the only choice is to replace the fixture. We'd rather not have that happen, but we really do like the fixture, so will accept it.

Bright light at a great price
The housing is plastic and a plastic neck. Not the most sturdy but they work great. Easy to hook up onto an exterior round electrical box. My driveway is lit up completely and its only 65W. Turns on automatically at night. Highly recommended. Two colors to choose from.

If you care about warranty don’t buy this. Didn’t make it 4 mos
Bought on May 30 and it quit working on Sep 20. We have multiple known-good bulbs to test with and the light fixture itself is not working. Disappointing. I see it is now currently unavailable. Edit: after much difficulty I reached customer support for Lights of America. They said they haven’t made this light in 6 years so it is out of warranty. I pointed out there is a 3 yr warranty from date of purchase. The guy consulted someone else and I heard her say “I can’t help it if they bought an old light from someone.” So purchased less than 4 mos ago, stopped working, and no warranty.

dissapointed
These look like a high quality outdoor lighting fixture, but the entire fixture is mabe out of plastic. The 1/2" npt nipple that is used as the main mounting attachment to an electrical box is plastic . One strong gust of wind would snap it like a twig. I sent them back, went to my local electrical supplier,( Not Home Cheapo) and paid over $100.00ea for two RAB all metal 40w cfl units. "Plastic is great until it breaks, then you throw it away."

OK exterion light
thought they would put out more light but did like the dust to dawn feature. Put tin foil behind the bulb to get more light

Don't Buy Their Cheapest Version
The 65-watt 9266 lamp can proudly wear the title "Lights of America". We have 9 of them in our barn, and they have been trouble-free. The light plastic gooseneck is a bit weak and requires a lot of tightening to prevent movement. A more robust pivot point would help prevent fractures from over-tightening. However, Lights of America has been getting cheaper with its lower-wattage lights. The 27-watt version comes with the lens retaining screws simply taped to the inside of the mounting plate. They also stopped supplying the alternate black plug to disable the photocell. Lights of America needs to review their Quality Control. Simply tosssing hardware into a box without an explanation could lead to easily avoidable failures. (Such as the lens falling off and/or leaking!) Their cheapest version (18-watt) is the model you should avoid like the plague. We installed ~30 of these, and over 50% of them failed within 3 months. Truly a piece of junk! Whoever designed/qualified the 18-watt version should be fired for incompetence/negligence. They should recall the 18-watt version and redesign it to make it reliable! Smoke in my barn is a no-no! So, here's my summary: 65-watt -- Buy without worries 27-watt -- Some assembly required 18-watt -- 3-month disposable version *JUNK*

Great Light - uses little energy
An excellent light sensor flood light. It goes on when it's dark, and turn off when it's light. It's brightness is very good, and it uses very little energy. If I want it to turn on a bit latter, I just attach it to a timer, otherwise just turn it on and forget about it. The only complaint is that the plastic used for the arm is a bit cheap, and it would break if not handled properly.
