Worth the money if you plan to keep the vehicle for years. No measurable performance or fuel mileage gain.

Excellent air filter
Excellent air filter. Way better than the highly-restricted Fram OEM filter that came with my 2016 CTS VSport. I noticed that my MPG has improved a bit since I put this filter in.

It's best for high power applications in relatively clean environments. That's me!
K&N filters have been around for decades! They are well known and established. The biggest thing to know about them is that while they are reusable, their ability to filter small particulates is not nearly as good as other established brands in the paper filter space. There is a popular video platform and on that platform is a channel called "Project Farm". The video does extensive testing and shows that the K&N filters flow the most air, which leads to the highest power increases, but at the expense of filtering; There's less restriction. So therein lies somewhat of a catch-22. Yes, you can clean these filters (Cleaning / re-oiling kits sold separately), but if you are needing to clean them often, you're probably in a dirtier environment and would warrant a filter that actually filters better. It's obviously up to you to decide what you are willing to give up or what you're willing to compromise on.

Not bad, I always replace stock filters
Not bad, I always replace stock filters. Specifically for the CTS Vsport though, the stock one is as good or better. I'm sure it is because of the serious tuning for this specific vehicle.
