L’Oreal Paris Magic Root Precision Temporary Gray Hair Color Concealer Brush, 5 Medium Brown, 0.05 fl; oz.

This pen is my favorite for root touch-ups. It’s easy to use, lasts a long time and doesn’t come off on your fingers if you touch your hair like the L’Oréal spray on root dye does. I think it costs a bit more than spray on, and it takes a little more time to apply than spray or powder, but the results are great and you can scratch your head without getting hair dye on your nails which I really hate.

I have tried expensive sprays, the L'Oréal spray and other products. Do not use a spray unless you have a massive area to cover. This is by far the BEST and easiest tool to cover gray. You can cover specific areas without spraying your entire part. I see gray only after 2 weeks but I will not pay for base color every two weeks. This is the way to go.

Good coverage for grey hairs at the temples. Doesn’t catch on tightly curled hair so styling is not disturbed. If you don’t handle your roots much after styling it doesn’t seem to rub off. If you have moisturizer in your hair it might come off more easily, but even with an olive oil based “edge keeper” it worked the whole day for me. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to last very long. I purchased one the end of June and only using it sparingly it ran out early August. Other kinds (& brands) seem to last much longer. HOWEVER, because it works so well I’ll pay the extra & more often. As L’Oreal says, “I’m worth it.”

Been using this for years. Looks like it may being discontinued. I do only use it for the area close to my ears and I never had a problem with it smearing or getting on my skin. It’s such a small little brush. I couldn’t see using it on my whole head. I love this stuff.

I’ve bought this product from another store and never had a problem. This product offers good temporary coverage for grays and I’ve really loved using it. This is the first time I’ve bought it on this site. I bought two. I opened the first one and no matter how many times I twisted the base, no dye came out. I tried for two days and nothing came out. I opened the second one and the same thing happened. They were completely dried out. Such a shame. I will not be buying this product here again.

So, this product DOES do what it says. In fact, it holds up somewhat even after a wash (which can be good or bad depending on how you feel about the product once it's applied). It's super easy to apply and target exactly where you want it, so much better than sprays. So there's the good news. The bad news, as other reviewers have stated, it's very sticky and stiff once applied. And it looks unnaturally dark. I decided to go with a lighter shade next time but it just doesn't seem available so I'm not sure whether I'll get it again. I ended up rubbing the area thoroughly with a wet rag immediately after applying it just to make it look a little more natural. It didn't remove all the color and it did help with the over-dark look. Overall, I'd say this is great for an emergency situation but I am not going to make it a regular part of my coloring routine. Unfortunately I've reached that stage of gray where the gray roots show significantly earlier than I ought to be re-coloring, so I do need to find a good in-between solution.

I’ve been using this product a long time. It helps to cover the grays or white hair at the hair line in front sides or back. You can use it to cover the parts in your hair. Keep in mind it’s Temporary. Don’t touch your hair or scratch your scalp. It will rub off on your hands and get under your nails. Don’t not use if you have oily scalp or oily hair. If your sweat on your head it will be black running down your face. I do not use it in the summer for that reason. Cover your head when going to bed it will rub off on your pillow case. Overall it’s a very good product. Last a couple of days until you wash it out.

My hair grows fast and I don’t have the time or energy to get my hair dyed every 3 weeks. I love that I can quickly cover up my roots and along my temples with this. I can throw it in my bag if I need to touch up mid day because mornings are chaos for me lol. I order this regularly but it did take me a bit of time to learn how to apply without making it blotchy. This might just be a me thing, but now I’m much more gentle and precise when I apply because I know if I press too hard or if I have too much dye on the applicator it won’t look great. With that knowledge, this is a must have for me.

Not worth the price for amount of product which is difficult to get out of pen and brush on where needed. Instead it just deposits colour in one spot on scalp and I had to use fingers to spread out.

Cubre las canas pero no totalmente, pero se ve bien. como tiene una brocha fina para la aplicación, puedes escoger pequeñas áreas para aplicarlo, También tengo la versión en espray, pero esa me estresa porque el espray me mancha a veces la piel, con este Color Magic Rood Precision no tengo ese problema.
