Decent Bargain — Requires Graphics Card to work
This is quite the bargain for anyone who is also already investing/has invested in a selected Graphics Card, as it has no internal graphics within it. At all. On its own, it just won’t work, or even Boot (I tested this too, out of curiosity!). When a Card is plugged into the MB, though, it whirs to life as Normal, and then goes ahead and gives some good power to your system. It also has a good range speed boost too, but doesn’t OverClock It comes with its own heatsink and even thermal paste, so you don’t have to panic and get your own (like I did!). Installation was SO very easy, with it just popping easily into its slot, and then the heatsink goes on nicely. There are simple plastic clips that keep the heatsink in place. It didn’t take long at all to get it in and ready to go. I have it working with 16GB RAM, a mid-range ATX Mobo, and a GTX 1050 Graphics Card, using Windows 10. It’s being used to mainly run a small but rather powerful home music studio, as well as the usual basics you use computers for. It’s been flawless.

Great CPU
Temperatures are great, never goes over 60c with stock cooler. I have noticed in Ubisoft games that it will frequently stutter but that is a ubisoft optimisation issue. This CPU is great but I only recommend it if you are in a position where you can't get a ryzen chip. They are better value for money if you do other stuff other than gaming. If it just gaming you wanna do, this CPU is powerful and will get the job done.

Insanely cool but insanely fast!
65W at this performance and temperature is crazy! More than powerful enough to play all the latest games, given you have a good enough GPU. The MOST impressive part was that it didn't go a single degree above 50°C during a 5 hour+ prime95 stress test! Tested with a Arctic Freezer 34 Duo eSports cooler and Thermalgrizzly Kryonaut paste. Insane! Probably the best value for a person looking for a gaming only rig!

Great product, great price
My boy bought this as a component when building his ow computer. All of the components he bought via amazon and sellers has ensured he now has a gaming computer for around £700 that he built himself with a friend. The equivalent to buy with all these specs would have cost between £1500-2000.

Good value for money, careful what BIOS version you have if own Z370 mobo
Good value for money, it is not a huge difference compared to my dead I5 8400, however it is newer and cheaper than what I paid on the older one. Careful when purchasing if you own a z370 series as it required a newer BIOS (1410) than what most motherboards had back when they were purchased and you might need a bios update, otherwise your PC will not post / work. Also, great customer service from the seller when contacted and the item arrived sooner than expected. Happy customer.

Average
For a budget build it is okay and will run games fine but if you want it to combine with higher GPU like rtx 2070s it wi struggle and in some games will get 100% cpu load.

Guarantees 60fps minimum on all current demanding games
My i3 7100 struggled to hit 60fps on games like Destiny 2, and especially The Division 2. Upgraded a motherboard and to the 9400f, and it's the perfect CPU alongside the 1060 6GB. Everything runs at a solid 60fps and sometimes well beyond. Can't recall ever dropping into the 50s. If you're looking for the perfect 1080p/60fps CPU, this is it (at least when it comes to the Intel side).

Great for a 1st build.
Great CPU and works great on the games I'm playing (halo master chief collection, Gears 4, Xcom, etc) with temperatures saying around the 40C mark. Was easy to install for a first time build by using videos on YouTube. Only time I've seen it rampant up higher than 50C was while i was testing Unity.
