we bought this product to replace the non-existing one that was in our fireplace when we bought a new home. When the product came in, it was easy to install and looks great. Works great. The only downfall is the electronic starter is on the opposite side of the other switches. With that being said,It is still a great buy for your money.

The Best we've ever bought

Wish I had bought a better set instead of going by price. It smells of gas while burning. It cannot be used so waste of money. No help from seller, they don’t return my emails. Almost $300 wasted on this junk. Doesn’t stay lit. 3 repair calls later, we bought a new one. Buyer beware!!!!

I love these fire logs. Warm and love the thermostatic control. My only reservation in giving 5 stars is the controls: they are hard to get to on the right side of the logs and it is confusing since it is hard for me to get down to that level to see the markings on the control.

When winter rolls back around I'll definitely take a picture. It is very beautiful and most folks think we are burning wood

My plumber installed but could not get the pilot to stay lit, it looks like a good quality unit and just what I needed but after a couple of hours of trying , waiting then trying some more, the pilot would not stay lit. We are used to installing log sets and all other gas appliances and we couldn't get these to work. I will be returning them sadly. It would be good if there was an easy to find way to communicate with the company as we were willing to change the thermocouple if needed. We would have but it was a kind we were not familiar with and didn't have. Duluth Forge---make contact easy if these are things you could advise on. It sucks to return after installing and having to repackage for return.

Economically good unit , will get larger next time

They look nice when burning. It's initial smell was very strong. The next time the smell calmed down a bit after I moved all the logs away from the flame but it still had a smell. We haven't used them much because when we want to have a fire, we also don't want to deal with the smell. Also this log has no remote or no way to use a wall switch so it is a challenge shutting it off so you don't burn our hands. I just took a picture and you will notice we have twinkle lights instead of burning the logs.
