If you get rubbish quality, then you probably aren't setting it up properly or misconfiguring it. :)I recommend at least a Core 2 Quad @ 2.83GHz processor to use this: do not use a Core 2 Duo as after a while, the processor will stop working properly.I would wholly recommend this product to anyone :D","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"5.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"A***N"},"reviewBody":"In Dazzles defence, i was trying to use it to capture PS2 gameplay and not for what it was suppose to actually be used for.","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"3.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"R***S"},"reviewBody":"I had heard that these dazzles were great for recording my xbox 360 gameplay, how I was told a wrong story. That took a little tinkering to capture at full quality. For reference, my 4 year old XP P4 3.2ghz desktop computer gobbled up the VHS videos and spat out top quality captures without missing a beat. If you've got an XP machine close to min spec you should have no problem. A Vista machine with a little higher than min spec, again should be fine. If you know what's going on in the background with Vista then min spec too will work, as mine did.What you get in the box is:-1- Pinnacle Studio version 11.12 - the last version of 11. It does not need updating to work with Visa.2- Instant DVD recorder installs from same disc, version 2. There is an update to version 2.61 available - I got it but shouldn't have.3- The bonus DVD in the box is full of effects you have to pay for - save yourself an hour of your time installing then uninstalling it, throw it away.4- 2 more discs in the box containing 'Scorefitter' allowing you to sync music in time to any movies you are creating/editing - I didn't bother with.After uninstalling that 2.61 recorder update, sticking with version 2 from the box and disabling my anti virus automatic updating service in the background, everything worked at full quality. Sounds easy but it took me a while to pin them down. Out of the box software is Vista fine as it is.The capture process with Studio 11 is simple and effective. With Instant recorder it's even easier but I don't capture straight to dvd. To gauge the capture quality I needed so my files were at least as good as the original VHS tapes I plugged the video player into a big LCD flatscreen and played the tapes. Then I experimented with all types of capture settings. You don't need to capture at full quality DVD as that quality isn't there in your tapes in the first place. The Dazzle can't do magic! Most VHS tapes are also not the widescreen 16.9 aspect ratio but I wanted to fill the screen nevertheless. After exhaustive experimenting ;) I found 2 settings provided perfect results, smoother to my eyes than the original.1- The preset medium mpeg capture(SVCD 480x576 quality as the dazzle calls it)captured at 16.9 aspect ratio in first option box. This plays full screen smoothly without changing your telly's display mode if it's left at the normal 16.9 setting you watch DVD's with2 - Custom avi capture in DivX 720x576 @ 2000kbs 25fps - whether you choose 4.3 or 16.9 in capture settings didn't change the fact that it displays a 4.3 aspect ratio on TV for me. Viewing on a PC allows you control over the DivX codec to display it widescreen, on the telly you generally have no control over the DivX codec your device uses. Changing your telly's aspect ratio to 4.3 then setting the 'pan and scan' option almost fills the screen. The DivX is slightly better quality in my view but the preset SVCD setting is the one I use as it plays full without touching anything being more than good enough.Those are settings for viewing on a TV assuming you have a way to play mpegs and DivX files on your telly. Both settings give nearly identical file sizes @ approx 1.4GB per 90 mins film. (For reference a 'best' quality DVD capture gives you a 4GB file at least, in my view with no benefit).You can go much smaller with settings/file sizes - maybe you'd be happy viewing them on your PC, on a 37\" LCD and over TV - they are blocky and artifact ridden.To finish, if anyone is still reading, the dazzle works with other software.H.P's Quickplay (home videos only - commercials are recognised as protected)And capturing video through dazzle but audio through line in/mic socket (Both home & commercial tapes fine)Ulead Video StudioWindows Movie makerFreebiesStoik Video captureWM9 captureVirtual DubI need to get out more - I know","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"4.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"A***N"},"reviewBody":"my dazzle came with studio 14.in 2 hours i was sending it back completely useless,would not capture to studio 14 at all.kept coming up on screen microsoft is shutting down to protect your computer.the same happened with my digital 8 camcorder.after sending it back.a day later i downloaded pinnacle 15 trial the same thing happen again with my camera.when i read other reviews i thought it cant be so bad,i should have took note iv never had such poor software as this pinnacle.i have had pinnacle studio 8 for years on another computer with dc10 capture card with no problem, bought 7 weeks sooner i bought corel videostudio x4 it picks camera up right away and captures i am still using it.its a good job i bought it from amazon so as i could sendPinnacle Dazzle Video Creator Platinum my pinnacle back.not sure if i could have given less than i star so i settled on i should be none.","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"1.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"M***."},"reviewBody":"My son spent many happy hours on the computer recording his game playing with this device.","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"5.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"J***M"},"reviewBody":"Amazing product, worked great.","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"5.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"V***A"},"reviewBody":"No Box packNo manual &No software CD","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"1.0","bestRating":5}}]},{"@type":"Product","name":"Deluxe HD Video Converter & Video Downloader","url":"/product/54578589","image":"https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/81B3eoJXVML.jpg","offers":{"@type":"Offer","price":1800,"priceCurrency":"PLN","availability":"https://schema.org/OutOfStock","hasMerchantReturnPolicy":{"@type":"MerchantReturnPolicy","returnPolicyCountry":"pl","applicableCountry":["pl"],"returnPolicyCategory":"https://schema.org/MerchantReturnFiniteReturnWindow","merchantReturnDays":14,"returnMethod":"https://schema.org/ReturnByMail","returnFees":"https://schema.org/FreeReturn","refundType":"https://schema.org/StoreCreditRefund"}},"description":"\n \n \n \n \n

Even though all of the work is done on your local machine you must register it with Magix and have an ongoing internet connection so that it can automatically log in once a month. If you lose your internet connection through no fault of your own - isp issues, broken router etc then the software will stop working if it cannot log in once a month.- even thougth you have paid for it. (2.8 & 8GB for 4K editing) it would not run. There is a mobile version but I have not tried the full version and the free one does not do enough.SOI installed it on an i7-4510U @ 2GHz, 8GB RAM with an AMD Radeon R7 M260 Windows 10 laptop. This does not quite meet the specification for 4K editing, it did do it but very very slowly.During the install there is an option to also install a “PC clean-up” programme, this works but is very basic and if you want to do anything useful you are asked to buy the paid version.It is very simple to use, not full of menus in fact almost everything is on the main screen. I only wanted to join clips and put titles on and perhaps trim or remove bits of clips.This was easy to do as was putting transitions in of various types.There are also numerous templates that you can use to give different effects to your videos.There is limited adjustment of the videos, some stabilization and camera corrections plus colour etc but again these are very basic.I was impressed by the number of cameras it took inputs from including a “flip” which is usually quite temperamental.Selecting output format and quality was easy and it allowed formatting for social media etc. HOWEVER making the video when finished was incredibly slow, I have much more comprehensive video editing programmes which are much faster for this.It certainly does all I wanted it to do but there were two things I did not like.1/ When the video is saved and played back it on the first frame displays the video file name, I could find no way of removing this.2/ It is too much to expect for the price but as the audio is not editable (except for volume which can be changed on individual clips and the addition of a music track if you wish) I found when it was a video with commentary if I took out clips it also of course took chunks out the audio which made the Commentary quite difficult to understand.IN SUMMARYI very useful but basic video editing package.","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"4.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"S***N"},"reviewBody":"The media could not be loaded.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n  I’ve had a sports-cam for a while and the raw footage was cluttering up my PC. Though it was great to be able to record a cycle ride or an adventure, I found that after viewing the initial playback I never watched the videos again. My PC was becoming cluttered with loads of raw video that I wanted to keep, but never watched.I’m not really into editing video but saw this software on special offer and thought I’d give it a go. I’m really glad that I did. It’s specially tuned for use with video from action cams, but works equally well with video from a standard camera and lets you get great results with hardly any effort at all.The attached video was my very first attempt and was produced totally automatically without any tweaks from me.Whilst the software has lots of manual controls the fantastic thing about it is that with no real video experience and very little time you can create something worth watching and worth sharing totally automatically. If you want to tweak it you then can, but the automatic results are so impressive that at the moment I’m happy to leave things as they are and concentrate on doing things to record with the sports-cam, rather than sitting at a PC editing video.In a nutshell the automatic process comprises these steps.• Load a number of clips into Fastcut.• Select a Template (This sets the style for the video you’re creating – the background music, type of cuts between scenes etc). See the list of templates below.• Finish the Movie and select output type. There are three output routes:- • Save on computer • Export to a mobile device • Upload to InternetAt the most automatic level it’s incredibly easy to create a movie that contains only a portion of the clips, so you’re not sitting through hours of playback, but captures the excitement in a way that you’d be happy to share with others, even those not into the subject you’ve filmed.There’s a full manual mode where you provide your own music, select the cuts, transitions and durations, add titles etc., etc.In the automatic mode, many of these features can be used to tweak your movie if you wish, so you can add titles, make sure a particular section is included, change the order etc.The templates provided are• Aurelia – epic movie trailer atmosphere with loads of suspense.• Beryll – Dynamic propelling music and vibrant cuts• Bipolar Triangular – Documentary style with positive, emotional music.• Breakout – Documentary style with a few subtle cuts.• Bright Future – Lively style for tense scenes• Butterfly Effect – Dramatic music and captivating transitions• Dark-N-Slow – Rhythmic cuts, ideal for slow-motion shots.• Distorted Reality – Driving action-packed movie trailer atmosphere• Erotomania – Exciting competition feel for complete action• Flying Lotus – Animated cuts and flowing music• Freedom – Few cuts and quiet harmonious music• Project 360 – Summery, fresh look and upbeat music• Swingorama – Playful, cheerful mood and offbeat cuts• The Contest – ideal for dramatic and tense footage• Way Up – Exhilarating cuts and music for action shots.There are a host of different formats for saving your finished work to different devices, PC, Mobile devices or the internet and at a variety of standards up to Full HD, if the source material is appropriate.If you’re into video editing then there’s probably software that has more features than this, but if you’re into using your sports-cam and want an easy way to turn your hours of footage into something you can watch and share, this software is great.As I said above, the attached video literally took 30 minutes to create, and that included me finding my way around the software for the first time. I used six clips of trying out a new quad-copter. The filming was far from brilliant, but the end result makes it look great. By the way I used the ‘Butterfly Effect’ template for this video","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"5.0","bestRating":5}}]},{"@type":"Product","name":"Video Conversion For Mac","url":"/product/50934489","image":"https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/716LKNnSk1L.jpg","offers":{"@type":"Offer","price":2110,"priceCurrency":"PLN","availability":"https://schema.org/OutOfStock","hasMerchantReturnPolicy":{"@type":"MerchantReturnPolicy","returnPolicyCountry":"pl","applicableCountry":["pl"],"returnPolicyCategory":"https://schema.org/MerchantReturnFiniteReturnWindow","merchantReturnDays":14,"returnMethod":"https://schema.org/ReturnByMail","returnFees":"https://schema.org/FreeReturn","refundType":"https://schema.org/StoreCreditRefund"}},"description":"Full description not available","brand":{"@type":"Brand","name":"vidbox"},"aggregateRating":{"@type":"AggregateRating","ratingValue":"4.3"},"review":[{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"P***R"},"reviewBody":"Unfortunately my VHS machine is not working so I have not been able to use this item. I had a bit of problem with it initially as my old JVC VHS Camcorder only have a SCART output. I had an old SCART to Component Adaptor but it has the wrong end. I managed to get it working with an old one-to-many SCART adaptor by switch the adaptor from OUT to IN. The capture quality was really bad. In the end, I have to purchase an Nikkai SCART to Component Adaptor (gold platted) and a Nikkai Connect SCART Coupler from Maplin. I was able to capture some good quality video.So far, I have captured about 10 videos. The picture quality is reasonably good except for a line of interference at the bottom of the picture as some people has already mentioned.Sometimes, the captured picture was twisted at the top half of the picture in the middle of the video and I have to re-captured part of the video again. That is no big deal as the Editing Software allow you to cut and merge the video. It is just time consuming.My conclusion is that this is a reasonably good product but you have to make sure you have a good input source (i.e. get a good connection between your camcorder and the Honestech device.).","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"4.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"J***E"},"reviewBody":"For years I have been trying to find a way of converting my old Hi8 camcorder tapes (21 in total) of my 3 children from 0 to adulthood to DVD, and finally found this. It's absolutely brilliant. No bigger than a cigarette packet but with so much technology inside. It's exactly what I wanted.It was important to me that I could edit the tapes to eliminate any messups or footage that's not particularly good or interesting, and with this you can do just that. After downloading and printing off the manual, it was incredibly straightforward.I use my camcorder to transfer the footage to my laptop, and if you convert a whole tape to file (when using Advanced Mode), it will tell you that it's too large and would you like to split it. If you say 'yes' it will split it in any random place and so I prefer to previously split the footage myself into separate events, and then convert them individually, which you can then burn the files to DVD, or keep as files on your laptop. You can then fit them onto a DVD as you wish, and no event has been split.I love it!Since writing this review I have noticed that Keith Lawson is not too happy, as he has to buy DVD's, when he would prefer to have the footage converted to digital and not necessarily to DVD. If you use 'Advanced Mode', it is perfectly NORMAL that you will first of all save this footage as a file on your laptop. You can then transfer it to a memory stick to view directly on your TV/DVD player if you wish, or you can burn it to DVD. It's your choice. I have bought a hard drive to keep all of my memories as files on there, so that should anything happen to the DVD's which I have burned for all my children and family members, we can easily burn another copy. Simples!","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"5.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"C***R"},"reviewBody":"At last I got round to dumping my VHS deck but first I wanted to convert my film tapes and also ones I made on a camcorder. The outcome is OK but not to the picture standard of the original. At least I have still have all the recordings of the many holidays. I was thinking that I need not purchase a digital recording if I wanted to start take videos again (for several years I have gone back to a DSLR and prefer it) but no, I would need to buy a digital recorder.There is one annoying 'feature' in the software when using the full edit mode. When cutting during the play back the recorded picture does not align itself back in the frame but gradually moves down to the bottom right of the full screen. This can be overcome by moving the app window to the top right of your screen, minimising the app and then restoring it and hey presto it is all aligned again. There is also a colour band at top and side of the converted film.Did anyone bother to test this? Seems a rushed job which was not finished.Overall view is that is OK but have a looking at other products where the picture quality has a higher rating.","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"3.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"T***4"},"reviewBody":"I selected this product because I wanted to capture video from sources like set-top boxes so I could turn them into DVDs using Nero.I already have a solution that uses a Dazzle DVC100 device and Ulead Video Studio 4 on XP to do this and it works a treat, very good quality video (even though it's ony SD, and even when displayed in 16:9 aspect ratio).Because this won't work on Windows 7, I chose the Honestech solution to replace it.Although it's billed as a VHS to DVD converter, Honestech's blurb also talks about capture from other video sources that can output video using composite interfaces; the Amazon blurb mentions set-top/satellite boxes (this was from the US site, and I have to assume that Honestech are OK with this). From this, it looked like I was all set.Installing the product was pretty easy but there was no picture from any source when I got it hooked up. Because I'd already downloaded Honestech's latest drivers from their site, I installed those and got a picture. I also installed the latest update to the Honestech capture software proper.The different capture options offered in the product's \"advanced\" mode are a bit unneccessary IMO; you get a choice to indicate what the eventual medium the video will be written to (DVD, DVD-DL, MPEG file etc), but there's no indication if quality will be adjusted based on this, so it's a bit hard to tell what's going on in the background.I chose the option to write to an MPEG-2 file, and got some captures done.Problem was, the video wasn't very good quality (although the audio was fine, and was synch'd), certainly no where near what I'd expect from my old Dazzle device. I fiddled with all the quality options but wasn't able to up the quality. I tried the same cables that I use with the Dazzle and could rule them out, so opted to contact Honestech's support line to ask them what I could do.To be fair, they came back quite quickly, but the guy seemed to think I was viewing the captured video on a DVD, despite me telling him I'd put the capture on a memory stick to view on my TV.He traded me some stuff about 16:9 aspect ratio not being really supported by PAL and their product (from this type of non-HD source), but didn't offer any advice on how to improve the picture quality above setting the aspect ratio to 4:3 on the TV because it was his belief that my widescreen TV was stretching the picture and producing the quality problem. Perhaps he was talking from the 1990s...As a test, I did indeed try recording and viewing in 4:3... the result : poor quality video, captured and viewed in 4:3 aspect ratio (I could even see the poorer quality in the PC preview window).At that point, I gave it up as a bad job and returned it to Amazon.So, unless it's VHS you want to capture, and it's 4:3 aspect ratio, and you don't mind getting quality that's probably not as good as other products could give you, then go ahead and get this.If you want it to use it with HD camera footage (another of Honestech's claims for the product), then consider popping the SD card or mini-DVD from your camera directly in your PC (or attach it via USB) and use a dedicated video package like Nero to do the authoring, and avoid this product.UPDATE 5th July 2013After Honestech had basically told me that what I wanted to do (record 16:9 from a set-top box) wasn't supported and I'd sent this item back to Amazon, they got back to me again (after some \"manager\" intervention I was told) to ask if I'd upload some sample video for them to look at (even though I'd already offered this previously and they hadn't taken it up), and a PC report. My PC was clean, and they told me that their product produced better video than my old Dazzle sample. I shook my head. It so doesn't, and the still pics they used as evidence also showed that to all the other impartial folk I showed them to. They suggested that I produce a DVD and watch that, but that just confirmed what I thought. I've offered to upload the DVD for them, but they've not taken me up on that yet.Meantime, I received the (cheaper - half the price) replacement from Amazon - the Hauppauge USB Live2 which uses (the included) WinTV to watch and record video and, to my relief, that works great in Windows 7 and produces captures of slightly better quality than my old Dazzle (which was pretty good itself), in 16:9 aspect ratio. Needless to say, it's way better than the Honestech capture and I'm just wondering what I was thinking buying their solution in the first place (actually, it was recommended in Computer Active now that I do think about it). That all means that I can escape from my old XP setup, and improve what I'm capturing at the same time ! I haven't tried it with VHS to be fair to Honestech (since their solution is all about VHS capture), but it shouldn't matter what source the video is coming from, as long as it's coming down a composite/S-Video cable, so I'm confident the Hauppauge will be fine if I have to do any of that in future.As a final irony, and just before I deinstalled the Honestech software from my PC, I tried a capture using it tied to the new Hauppauge kit and... it produced as good a capture as the WinTV software. To me, then, it's the Honestech capture device that's the problem and, if their tech support get back to me again, I'll fill them in on this because I think it's a constructive build for them, and I think it lets my PC and overall set up off the hook (I'm assuming I didn't unluckily get a dodgy capture device, but we'll never know now - and it never occurred to the Honestech tech folk at any point). They may well have read this (UK) review of their product (they're in Austin, Texas I believe), and may have cut me off considering I've already sent their kit back (which I didn't tell them). But perhaps it'd be in their interest to look at what I've captured since it'd be to their advantage to get this feedback rather than mine !","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"1.0","bestRating":5}}]},{"@type":"Product","name":"Roxio Toast 12 Titanium (Mac)","url":"/product/50325150","image":"https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81ABJiS0ZeL.jpg","offers":{"@type":"Offer","price":85761,"priceCurrency":"PLN","availability":"https://schema.org/InStock","hasMerchantReturnPolicy":{"@type":"MerchantReturnPolicy","returnPolicyCountry":"pl","applicableCountry":["pl"],"returnPolicyCategory":"https://schema.org/MerchantReturnFiniteReturnWindow","merchantReturnDays":14,"returnMethod":"https://schema.org/ReturnByMail","returnFees":"https://schema.org/FreeReturn","refundType":"https://schema.org/StoreCreditRefund"}},"description":"Roxio Toast 12 Titanium (Mac)","brand":{"@type":"Brand","name":"roxio"},"aggregateRating":{"@type":"AggregateRating","ratingValue":"3.0"},"review":[{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"S***N"},"reviewBody":"As an owner of Roxio Pro 10 for Windows this Mac version falls well short. ","brand":{"@type":"Brand","name":"corel"},"aggregateRating":{"@type":"AggregateRating","ratingValue":"3.5"},"review":[{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"C***A"},"reviewBody":"Okay, the software is nice & easy to set up, however -1- You may find you need more cables - it comes with a short adaptor cable for USB to the 3 seperate coloured pin plugs, so I needed to go & buy a 3 colour cable (like the ones you use to plug video consoles into your TV) & then a 3 colour to SCART adaptor since my video player doesn't have the 3 colour out.Once everything's plugged together you press play on your video & following the menus you get a little screen on your Mac showing what the video is playing so you can check sound & picture & cue your video ready to transfer to your computer. Pretty straightforward, but...2- Every time I cue up a new video I can't get the video sound on my Mac. Unless I unplug the USB & then plug it back in & it's magically fixed. What's with that!Okay, so you click on the big obvious \"record\" button on screen & sit back while the video plays through. You can choose to have the record stop automatically at 60 minutes, 90 minutes, etc, but...3- you cannot customise the stop time to suit the actual length of the video you're transferring.When the recording finishes a little window pops up saying something like \"please wait a moment\" while your computer converts the video format to something it can use, this may take a little longer than you might think...4 - The transfer time is not quick, on my Macbook is about 1 1/2 times the length of the video (a 1 hour movie takes 1 1/2 hours to transfer), obviously if you have a more up to the minute Mac it should be faster.Once the format is converted you get the option to transfer the file into I-Movie (editing software), or Toast (the DVD writer software), or to quit leaving the video saved in your Movies file as a \".mov\" file.5 - If you do not choose I-Movie at this stage you will not be able to do it later! The format that the video just converted to cannot be opened by I-Movie, & the VHS-DVD software doesn't allow you to transfer saved files to I-Movie. If you do chose to go to I-Movie you have to wait for another format change (go make yourself a cup of tea, a 1 hour video took about 1/2 hour on my laptop). (Oh, & if your version of I-Movie isn't compatible it won't tell you until it's done this format change.)If you opt for the Quit option the saved .mov file can be viewed in I-Tunes.If you opt for transfering the file to Toast Basic (provided with the package) you just drag in the videos you want & choose from a selection of DVD title menus. You can title the videos, but otherwise ...6 - You can't customise the DVD menu in Toast Basic. Not a terrible omission, but it would've been nice to just drag over a JPEG of your choice for the selection menu.Once you've made your selections (recording quality \"Good/Better/Best\") click record &... wait.7 - It takes ages to convert/buffer the files ready to burn to DVD. I put four 1 hour videos together on one video (I'm guessing this is about the maximum per disc at the default settings), selected the highest quality & it took 16 hours before it was ready to burn the DVD!Finally the DVD is burned & ready to watch. The formatting is pretty basic (the software splits the videos into chapters), but straightforward, however...8 - Sadly the picture quality at \"Best Quality\" using the defaults is not as good as the source video. I transferred old VHS tapes at the highest quality setting & the resulting DVD was kinda fuzzy & all dark areas on screen were now an impenetrable black. The sound level varied from one recording to the other as well, I assume the DVD volume depends on the volume controls on your computer rather than the levels on the source video. Overall the kind of picture quality you would expect from You-Tube, but not adequate for archiving your old movies. I haven't tried playing around with the Advanced settings yet, but assume that this will provide higher quality (being \"Advanced\", I'm not too sure what half of the settings do, a bit more info or a quality demo would be nice. The higher quality settings obviously mean your videos will take up more room, so less movie per disc, but presumably the processing time per disc will be about the same).So, easy to use (except for the problem with I-Movie), but expect it to be time consuming, & the results at the default are of poor quality.","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"2.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"S*** "},"reviewBody":"If you buy this, you're only wasting your time - I really wish I had read previous reviews. The software is extremely flawed - You click 'STOP' at the end of the recording, and next thing - the software crashed and all your video is gone! Tried on both an iMac and MB Pro (16GB Ram, 2.4 GhZ i7) running Lion.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"1.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"L***Y"},"reviewBody":"Excellent price bracket for this product i used it for transferring media items from one place to another highly recommended by a friend to buy and i would highly recommend it to anyone to buy","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"5.0","bestRating":5}},{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"C***L"},"reviewBody":"Great to use. However, in this case I'm going to make an exception. I bought this product because the blurb said it would capture video AND let you edit it seamlessly with iMovie.On the plus side, this program DOES capture VHS from your old video cassettes or VHS-C/Video8 camcorder recordings. It set up easily enough and I was capturing my old home movies within 30 mins of installing the software. HOWEVER, this is where my problems began.EVHS-DVD converts your old video into MPEG2 files. This is no problem if you capture your video then choose to IMMEDIATELY edit it with iMovie. The software converts MPEG2 into a format that allows you to edit with iMovie.Unfortunately, after capturing your video, the software presents you with several options, one of which is 'Capture more video' (or similar wording). If you have several cassettes as I did, you choose the 'Capture more video' each time. Eventually you end up with several MPEG2 files on your hard disk which is where the problems start.1. iMOVIE WILL NOT OPEN MPEG2 FILES2. EVHS-DVD WILL NOT LET YOU OPEN FILES YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY CAPTURED USING EVHS-DVD.3. EVHS-DVD WILL NOT CONVERT MPEG2 FILES UNLESS YOU CHOOSE 'Edit with iMovie' EACH TIME YOU CAPTURE A VIDEO4. THERE IS NO WARNING IN THE SOFTWARE THAT IGNORING THE 'Edit with iMovie' OPTION MEANS YOUR CAPTURED VIDEO CAN NEVER BE OPENED AGAIN BY EVHS-DVD5. THE MPEG2 FILES YOU NOW POSSESS ARE EFFECTIVELY REDUNDANT. No program on your Mac will open them (unless you have a special QuickTime plugin) and iMovie will not import themI have had a long email conversation with Roxio Technical Support who effectively said 'Yes sir, you're right, and we note your concern, but we can't help you'. Very poor indeed.The whole problem could be solved if EVHS-DVD had a 'File....Open' option to open files you've previously captured. But there just isn't. Nothing. My advice is do not buy this product until this very fundamental flaw is fixed.","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"1.0","bestRating":5}}]}]}}
