This towel is great and I love the pocket design
I ordered this towel as my yoga mat was like a giant slip and slide. The pocket design was great and fit my yoga mat perfectly. I also loved the added grip on the bottom of the towel as it ensured my towel stayed in place. Unfortunately, after washing several times on the gentle cycle and line drying it, it started ripping at the seam. I initially reviewed it as a one star, as I felt it shouldn't have fallen apart so quickly. Hours later I received a message from the seller, apologizing for the defect and offering to ship me a new towel as it shouldn't have happened. WOW! Talk about great customer service! I'm amending to a 5 star review, as I really do love this towel and it works perfectly. I seriously sweat A TON during my classes and this towel stays in place and allows me the grip I need for poses. Also, that is GREAT customer service to reach out so quickly and offer a fast resolution. Order this towel; you won't be disappointed!

Great for Hot Yoga
I've recently gotten super into hot yoga. Like, went from never doing yoga to going 4-5 times a week. The last few months have been a learning curve when it comes to all products, but this towel stands out the most. The corner pockets are THE BEST. I don't know why more companies don't do this to be honest. It isn't the softest yoga towel I've ever used, but it actually helps you stay in place. I've tried the super plush "super absorbent" ones that are out there and I honestly don't understand the point of the softness if you're slowly sliding forward while just doing a basic downward dog.Only downside: IT SHRINKS. This towel is amazing and perfect, just don't dry it! I accidentally shrunk my first one but the customer service was amazing and worked with me on it. I actually still use it - I lay it on top of my mat and though it can't wrap around the corners anymore it still keeps me in place :)Long story short: This towel stays in place on your mat and helps you stay in place on your towel, letting you focus on you. JUST BUY IT ALREADY.

Small sweet spot for grippiness between dry and wet
I was really excited about this towel because I naturally sweat excessively from my hands and feet (hyperhydrosis) and my plain old yoga mat has always had issues with slipping. However, the grippiness is only really functional in a small band of dampness between dry and wet.As others have noted, the towel is pretty slippery when your hands and feet are dry. I expected this and used the included spray bottle to lightly mist the towel with water. For the next 15 minutes everything seemed peachy. Then as my hands and feet started to sweat profusely as they do, the mat started to get slippery again. This was during Vinyasa practice, not Bikram/hot yoga. But the towel quickly reached its absorption limit and then the towel started slipping on the mat and my hands and feet started slipping on the towel. At this point it was not much better than my naked yoga mat.If your sweat levels are not excessive, I imagine this towel would probably work well for you, however I wouldn't recommend it if you're doing Bikram or if you sweat a lot like me.For what it's worth, the towel itself seems to be very well made, and came with a nice drawstring bag made of the same fabric. It also fits nicely over my 72"x24" yoga mat, and has a shallow pocket that extends across the entire length of each end to fit over your mat. It stays in place decently well, but as soon as you start doing your sun salutations it might start bunching up in awkward places.Edit: the manufacturer reached out to me for feedback and when I related this information to them they offered to send me one of their other yoga mats which is supposed to be even more grippy, so hopefully that will resolve my issues. While this towel is not for me, the manufacturer's customer service deserves recognition.

Grips! And stays grippy!
I started doing hot yoga (Vinyasa) over a year ago. More recently, I purchased a high-end yoga mat (Manduka Pro): mainly due to its thickness to help out my knees. I am a huge sweater and the new mat would not stay grippy for me. So, I started experimenting with towels to keep grip. Eventually I picked up towels specific for mats. I purchased three different towels, this one, Gaiam, and Youphoria towels. After a few weeks of use, the Heathyoga blew the other two away, so I am ordering more (The other two are not bad, but the Youphoria doesn't stay grippy, and the Gaiam, while it maintains grip, bunches since it doesn't tuck over the ends of the mat). Despite my soaking the towel through a session, it stays grippy. Very grippy. Even in the more aerobic (less yoga, more cardio-style) classes with lots of movement. The ends of the mat tuck into the sleeves at the ends of the towel, and it actually sticks to the mat (it literally peels off the Manduka mat). Love it! It's 'heavier' and bulkier than the other two, but not a problem. The only question I have is how the silicon (and surface in general) holds up over time. But, it has been a great start! Very happy!

Perfect
My daughter and I just started our first Yoga classes. It didn't take long for our hands and feet to become sweaty which lead to our slipping during the poses. One of the participants had a thin Yoga blanket on top of her mat to keep her hands and feet secure during class. Going straight home, I got online to find a suitable barrier for my Yoga mat. After a couple of days of researching Yoga towels and blankets, I order two of these. We could not be more please with my purchase. They are perfect! Not only do they keep our feel and hands in place during our poses, but there are pockets to cover the corners on the mats which secures them during our class. They are thin, soft and they come with a drawstring pouch to carry them back and forth to class. I could not be more pleased with my purchase!

If you struggle with slipping, this will transform your yoga practice!
This product is a revelation!I have a cheap folding mat, which I love for ease of transport and thickness, but occasionally struggle with due to slipping. I toyed with getting a more expensive mat that would (allegedly) be less prone to slipping underneath my sweaty palms, but couldn't find anything at reasonable price that got good reviews for being both non-slip and durable. I thought a towel might be be a good alternative to a new mat, and at £15 quite a bit cheaper than most of the mats I was considering. So, how did it go?I brought this to my yoga class last night and tried it out for the first time. The room we practice in gets very warm (to the point where we sometimes joke that if it was any hotter we'd be doing hot yoga) and yesterday was no exception. I laid the towel over my mat and hooked it over the edges. The towel is pretty generous in size and was actually a little too big for my mat, so I simply hooked it over the top of the mat and folded the excess under the bottom of the mat. To start with I used the little spray bottle to spritz the area where my hands and feet would go in down dog, just in case I wasn't sweating enough at the beginning of class. I was pleased to notice that the water absorbed almost immediately and I did not feel like I was sitting on a slightly moist mat (yuck). What can I say, it worked a treat! Not only did I notice an immediate improvement in the poses where I usually felt myself slip (here's looking at you downward facing dog), but I also noticed a big difference in my over all stability, especially when transitioning from one pose to the next. The silicone coating on the underside kept things from moving around/wrinkling on top of the mat, even during lots of activity. Being relatively new to yoga, I often have to adjust myself into poses, and found that it was easy to do so, with no danger of moving the towel.I can't comment on how well it washes as I have yet to throw it in the machine, but it seems durable enough so I would imagine it will cope with washing well, as long as you follow the directions. The matching carry bag and the sprtiz bottle are a nice touch. I was thinking that a couple drops of essential oil in with the water in the spray bottle would be a nice way of added a little more calm to your practice. All in all, a great purchase!
