They never said anything about my little 10 watt, so I decided to upgrade to as big as would fit in the lower half of a double-hung window. That would be a 50 watter. I looked around and found a great deal on a Renogy, well under the benchmark $1/watt, so I ordered it, along with a 35ah sla battery for a sink. My setup is far from ideal, with the panel vertical, shaded for half the day, and actually behind the screen in the window, but none of it seems to matter as this panel just keeps putting out the power. I'm very impressed. My little setup should tide me over the occasional power outage, running a fan, a light and a computer. When my neighbors see the light shining in my window while the rest of the neighborhood is dark, maybe they will want panels of their own.
