I did the same with paintings that were torn from the monastery walls. Monks were made to trample the thankas before they were hanged in front of their temples. There are no records where they stole the phurbas from, however they were purchased long before the Chinese started replicating all sacred medication tools from Tibet. Monks who have viewed the phurbas looked at them with revulsion. I was told to salt them, immerse them, bury them. Monks would not use another monk's phurba because it's filled with discarded energy as the user neared enlightenment. **Q: Is this a good choice for wood splitting? Im moving to Alaska soon and will need a good axe. I dont want to buy some cheap axe that may break.** A: You might need such an axe given the isolation in your future.
