First off this is about as good as it gets as far as detecting just about every conceivable wireless device that is commonly around us these days. If there is one negative I can find about this meter is that it doesn't pick up really fast spikes from devices such as smart meters very well. You can clearly hear every spike but it will only register 25-50% of the time on the display readout. This is not a big deal though unless you want really scientific data on every spike. What this does better than most any other meter is that it's very sensitive and covers a much larger Microwave frequency range than most others. But it's more than sensitive enough to pick up the weakest of sources, and the device is designed to make distinguishing different sources of RF and strength of those sources acoustically or audibly. Has a built in speaker but has a standard headphone output that makes a real difference once your used to using it. It gives signal strength readouts in both peak and real time constant update. And those readouts are supplied in two formats at once. One is the American "standard" version, and the other is a more accurate representation is how I can best describe it, without going into it.
