We have enjoyed Bays Original English Muffins for decades, but after the "talk" from the Doc it was time to add whole grains to the daily diet. Could not locate Bays Multi-Grain here local, so after eating other supermarket brands of "Whole Wheat or Multi-Grain muffins", finding them dense and not so tasty, it was obvious this life change was going to hurt. Eventually went to the Bays website where they direct customers to Amazon for Multi-Grain English Muffin purchase. Unfortunately you have to purchase a dozen packages per order, fortunately however they do freeze well. They are shipped directly from Bays, which arrived on 10/08 with expiration dates of 12/03, so they are indeed fresh. Are they equivalent to Bays Original? ... No, but they actually have English Muffin texture and taste great. Thank you Bays!UPDATE! ... We have now purchased 4 separate cases of these muffins since the original purchase and continue to receive fresh tasty product from the Bay's folk each order. Discovered them in Costa Rica and really developed a taste for them. I now purchase them through Amazon and am willing to pay the $11 shipping that Bays charges for each box of 12 packages (not Prime eligible.) I am hooked on both the multi-grain and the sourdough varieties, as are my grandchildren, who are very happy when I receive a shipment. The only minor complaint is that they are often not split evenly, such that one "half" is thinner than the other. I am willing to live with that and will continue to purchase.
