I think anybody could fly it. Compared to flying my intelligent drone where crash's matter this is a breeze to fly with a lot less worry. He is 10 years old and figure out how to fly this drone pretty quick. The ring protect things well enough, he was hitting the TV and didn't leave any scratches. Overall he seems happy with it.
